Story

The Towel Exchange started laundering towels for a local hairdresser in Mont Albert from their local Laundromat also located in Mont Albert. They soon realized that no-one was servicing the hair and beauty industry and that there was a niche market here waiting to be tapped into. They purchased their first 100 black vat dyed hairdressing towels and The Towel Exchange was born. Today they have in excess of 20,000 salon towels in circulation, processing up to 5000 per day. The natural progression from hairdressers was beauty salons.

There are no hidden charges with The Towel Exchange. Pick up and delivery are all included, as are laundry bags to return the dirty linen in. You get a monthly itemized invoice showing how many towels you used and when you used them.
The Towel Exchange is environmentally conscious. When they moved into their new premises in 2006 they invested a lot of money in buying the best Electrolux and Speed Queen front loading washing machines to reduce water consumption, and gas powered automatic, mouisture sensing dryers to ensure that over drying didn’t become an issue.
They us automatic detergent dispensers to ensure that the right amount of chemicals are used, and of course, they use bio-degradable chemicals.

We service the whole of the Metropolitan area, from Sorrento to Epping and Taylors Lakes to the Yarra Valley. In addition, the Towel Exchange provide an excellent linen, towel and robe service to day spas with a pick-up and delivery service that is second to none- in all areas of Metropolitan Melbourne. We have a specialised team dedicated to serving the needs of our customers.
