THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!! Highly recommend! I bought my wedding dress from Grace Loves Lace and they recommended I go to Richard Thompson Exclusive Alteration, for the length alteration. Although the style of the dress was great and I just wanted the length altered, there were a couple of things that I thought if done they would make me feel more comfortable in the dress on the day, but I didn’t think that this would be possible due to the material. Richard is the most creative visionary when it comes to alterations and giving you the look you want while still maintaining the beauty of your dress. He has turned a great looking dress to a phenomenal exquisite piece with an amazing flawless finish! I’m so much more comfortable and confident in it. His alterations to the dress have elevated it in style, elegance and luxe. He had an idea for every look I wanted to achieve and every issue I wanted resolved. My sister and I were so impressed at his level of professionalism and solutioning. I can’t wait to send through pictures of me on my big day, my dress now looks tailor made to perfection! After my third and final fitting we celebrated with a glass of champagne and he steamed and packed my dress perfectly for me to transport home. I can’t thank you enough Richard! You are amazing!

Richards exclusive alterations really was an absolute pleasure to deal with. My wedding dress was very delicate and Richard and his staff took the utmost care with my alterations even when I near fainted twice. They made suggestions which were amazing and made sure I felt absolutely comfortable before the wedding without being pushy. They have great expertise amongst the team and I had utmost confidence in them at all stages. After the wedding I took my dress back for repairs and they did a great job to make sure my dress was repaired after the dry cleaner made a complete mess! I could not be more grateful and I know if I needed anything else Richard would be most accommodating. I could not recommend them more!

I had my beautiful wedding dress tailored at exclusive alterations and they did such a perfect job! My dress needed taking in 2 dress sizes and they did it beautifully. I met Richard and Sarah when I was there, both beautiful people. Sarah took really good care of me and she is so dedicated to her job, she put me at ease with what I can understand to be a great task! I collected my dress 2 weeks later and final adjustments were done the same day, at the very height of wedding season. Me and my now husband decided to get married in 2020 and were recommended to Richard from Angelica Bridal. We were so glad. Richard went out of his way, going over and above, to make sure, despite the ongoing ever changing restrictions to get us fitted perfectly and on time for our wedding. You can easily tell Richard has been in the business a long time as he has a keen eye for detail and an apt knowledge of how to adjust the dress/suit and even posture to make it fit just so. Richard was kind enough to fit our fittings in at the same time which was very helpful for us. We were hit with the November lockdown which meant Richard was under even more pressure to get it done for our early Dec wedding - but he made it happen and never made us feel rushed. We enjoyed our visits and chatting with him and came out with beautiful outfits. My husband had a tailor made Italian suit and I had alterations done on an Elbeth Gillis dress. Richard helped us with all the accessories too, for example showing me how to style my wedding bolero, pinning it behind my back, which I was really pleased with. We got married in Mayfair at 4pm and afterwards, as we passed people dining on the street, we got cheers. We thank Richard for his part in this and highly recommend him.

The team at Richard Thompson were amazing. I was referred here by Angelica Bridal and had my wedding dress altered. I felt like the team listened to me and made my alterations to suit me. The team at Richard Thompson had great customer service, specifically, with how they handled my changing views on the veil... creating my veil ideas so I was better able to make a choice over my veil styles. I was recommended this tailoring service via the company I bought my wedding dress from. The service was exceptional we was made to feel very welcomed by Sarah who gave me fantastic tips and advice in preparation for my big day as well as taking the time to message me after her long day at work to give me the name and brand of the nail varnish she was wearig that will match my mum's dress perfectly. Talk about going out of her way to deliver amazing customers service. Brilliant!! I would recommend this company if you are looking for a tailor to do the finishing touches to your wedding dress.

Excellent service and amazing work! They completed alterations on my wedding dress. I was very nervous to trust anyone with the dress but Richard really listened to what I wanted and delivered exactly what he promised and more. All of the alterations were perfect and I couldn’t be happier with the service they provided. Definitely will be going back.

I've used Richard's tailoring services for many years including my wedding dress and his alterations are always of an extremely high standard.  Last week he breathed new life into some much loved outfits for a business trip and has once again done a first class job.  In addition he is a thoroughly nice guy and his team are a joy to work with.  So to all ladies out there, think twice before you cast off your old clothes, take them to Richard and let him work his magic!

Would definitely recommend, Richard and his team were very helpful, quick to respond as well as very quick to alter my dress, custom make my veil and alter another dress last minute!

Fantastic service!! I loved my wedding dress even more after the fittings and tailoring work. I really appreciated all the help and advice  from Richard  especially since i didn't have my friends and family with me at the time of fittings. He went above and beyond helping me with tailoring work on my petticoat. Highly recommended.
