"Once the main train station in Rangiora, the Station Pottery Cafe now provides customers with the chance to paint pottery, while sipping on a coffee, or a wine. They make it super easy for you to have a relaxing time getting creative with your pottery art. Then they will get it glazed and ready for you to pick up a week later. You can also choose from a fantastic range of yummy cabinet food, along with a side of their famous seasoned fries, or range of delicious salads. The Station features a big landscaped garden seating area, with plenty of parking. There's a playground for the kids, and dogs are always welcome! It is also the perfect venue for parties or weddings."

The service was fast, and friendly. The coffee was hot and beautifully brewed. The chocolate brownie was chocolatey, soft and devine. Loaded wedges, could have done with more red onion, in fact I hardly saw any and didn't taste any. Wedges had a soft potato centre -yum, heaps of sour cream delivered, but I did ask for extra. I personally would have preferred a bit more sweet chili sauce.
We had our end of year break up lunch here. Fabulous food and service. I tried the halloumi salad for the first time and it was delicious. Can't wait to have an excuse to go back great shaded play area for kids, I had my 4 yr old granddaughter with me and she had a great time there and enjoyed her kids menu crepe meal.Food: 5/5
What a cool cafe, inside has such an awesome vibe, clean, food is all very appealing until you pass the hedge outside toward the childrens playground. It's almost as if 'out of sight out of mind'. The weeds were waist height to my toddler and that area was very lack luster. The table had no sun umbrella so the poor family that was sitting there ended up sharing the other half of our table as they were cooking in the sun. Broken toys in the playground. It has huge potential though.
The atmosphere was nice. Coffee was good. Friendly staffs. Food portions are quite plenty for me personally but all good. Other than that, might prolly be a bit careful with birds stealing your food if you have outdoor seating, but that's handle-able I suppose :
Always good food and great coffee. Has some of the nicest fries in rangiora too! Nice location, and great to be able to sit outside. Just needs a few dollars spent on tidying up the gardens and weeds and it’d be a five star cafe
Went there to pick up some previously done pottery, and stayed to do more with the grandchildren. They loved it. Time for them to be creative. And after, we had some drinks and food. Staff were very helpful, and made a fuss of the little ones. Lovely place to spend an hour or two in an old historic building.
Was my absolute favourite for coffee, lunch, brunch, kids. But since the loss of cooked food options/kitchen has lost much of its appeal. Will sadly have to find a new favourite :-
Just visited the station for a short train stop...would love to visit again to enjoy the cafe...outside area was delightful.
Lovely atmosphere in a grand old building. Breakfast was excellent Wish we found you earlier.
