Lovely hotel. If you can get the breakfast deal get it as breakfast was lovely. Staff were all so very friendly and helpful.nA small fortune to park so see if you can get it with your room deal.nThe rooms were spacious and lights and curtains etc are all high tech with touch screens that light up when sense movement which was a little bothersome with the ones by the bed at night.nFacilities are amazing a whole level of restaurants and the sky bar is buzzing with amazing views. The gym and pool were great. Fantastic view from the main pool. And lots of outdoor areas and lounges. Overall a really great experience.
Our 2 night stay at the Star was amazing. The room was luxurious, we had a beautiful view of the river and the beds were very comfortable. It is located close to the city with access to the highway so taxis were cheap and easy to use. I was so impressed with everything and will definitely book again when I’m in Brisbane. The room service food was a bit average but the breakfast was great and the bar on the top floor was a nice place to catch up with people.
The casino itself is very decent and much better than the old casino. Lots of tables to play at and tons of pokies to throw your money away on. The observation deck is a good shout. Nice views and you can grab a drink from the bar there also.
We stayed for 2 nights in the penthouse at the Star - the accomodation was incredible! My husband and were both so impressed with the quality, the style and the view. The service was very good and loved the complimentary range of items within the room. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review - although the staff were very attentive in the restaurants we dined in, they did seem a bit mechanical at times and didn’t seem very warm or friendly. It was quite sad to see most of the lovely restaurants on level 4 empty.

Great service and drinks.nGaming area, all staff very helpful and kind.nA little disappointed on the size of gaming area, we expected a larger or multiple levels of gaming and tables.nnSky deck: Beautiful view, great space. Plently of spots to sit, eat, drink and enjoy some music. Easy to access.nnParking: Pricey, but easy to park and gain access to desired areas.
