"In February 2018 we completed a substantial refit to realign the stars, this has included new features inside and out to complement our customer and now provide them a more comfortable setting. The indoor/outdoor flow provides Tower Junction patrons with plenty of options , especially during summer and don’t forget the mass amounts of car parking Tower Junction has.Our friendly southern style service will not disappoint along with our menu. We know what matters and not scared to provide it.Good on Ya Mate"

Stopped into Speights Ale House for Dinner tonight. Restaurant seemed quiet but it was a Tuesday night so to be expected I guess. Hostess was quick and friendly greeting me as I came in! She took my drink order and delivered it with the Menu. Came back quick and timely to grab my order. I ordered the Chicken Parcel with chips and salad. It was absolutely delicious. The filo pastry was crispy and the Chicken Breast Stuffing was smooth and tasty, flavoured with Sundried Tomato, Red Onion and Cream Cheese. It has a side helping of Peach Chutney which compliments the Parcels beautifully. Generous portion of chips and salad make this a meal worth choosing! A new favourite of mine at Speights Ale House! Manager checked in with me too and the service was good. I’ll be back! Thanks team!
$27.50 for a tiny portion of fish and chips. I’d be embarrassed to have that plate leave my kitchen… Restaurant was not busy at the time. Terrible value for money.
Delicious double seafood mornay and can never go past the ribs, accompanied with 2 good Panhead beersFood: 5/5
The service was excellent. Party of 9 and we all enjoyed our meal and there is usually someone who says "I didn't like that". So that's why 5 stars were given. Thank you for a great night.Food: 5/5
Had birthday dinner there this weekend and had the waitress walk away while I was giving dietary details, and never came back, and when the meal eventually arrived it was full of dairy and totally inedible without serious reaction, meal was sent back, I went hungry and we were still charged full price, and it was my birthday. Destroyed my night. And if I had just eaten it would have probably spent my night in ED. Very disappointed in the Level of service received and will be unlikely to return. Dietary restrictions: No staff understanding of dietary restrictions and the importance of checking. Being short staffed doesn't excuse ignoring customers dietary restrictions.
My husband and our 6-year-old went here for lunch, the waitress seemed rather inexperienced, didn't offer us kids' menu or kids entertainment such as colouring pencil and paper etc. so we went to the counter to ask for them. When the meal we ordered came, my medium-rare steak was cooked to well done, so I showed it to the waitress that this isn't what I ordered, she looked puzzled and asked if I wanted her to take the plate back to kitchen for a redone, I said yes and after a while another waitress came and asked, "you ordered medium rare right? So that steak you sent back do you want us to cook more or cook less?" My husband and I were a bit shocked at the question, maybe she was just being thorough but it seemed more like lacking of basic training/knowledge. Overall the food was acceptable, but the staff interaction or lacking of it was rather off putting, we went to a restaurant for a wholesome experience and unfortunately it was not found here.
Cled in for dinner tonight. Original hostess very lovely and helpful in finding a table for us two. Ordered food which was lovely we had schnitzel dish and blue cod dish. When it came time to clear the dishes waited for attention but noone came to clear table. Sought assistance by taking dishes to bar, handed to young man who went and took to kitchen. I mentioned we would like to order desserts and i went back to our table expecting that one of the several waitstaff would take our order. Waited in vain while about 5 or 6 wait staff congregated and chatted amongst themselvez. After waiting for about 10 minutes thought we would pay and leave. Went to pay the disinterested staff member at till. Explained that food was good but the service was terrible and that instead of ordering desserts we would just leave and pay. An unconvincing sorry was uttered by her. It was very disappointing as on previous occasions the service had been good and we had recommended the venue to others. After tonight i thought i would post a review and this is my first negative one. We dine out regularly but in future we will not be including this establishment on our list of places to support.
Kitchen closed at 8, they stayed open long enough for us to book a table for 7:45 then decide what to order even though we were late. Food was great as well! Great service!
We were able to get a table in a Saturday night which was really good. The food was delicious and they were good options. They had some good options on the menu. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a good Speight's to eat at.
Absolutely love the spare ribs , better than lonestar Chocolate cheesecake was totally underwhelming The cheese cake was a weird texture and flavor was weak The others in our group were disappointed as well. Not worth the moneyFood: 3/5
