We offer casual dance classes in Melbourne for kids and adults of various dance abilities and interest levels. With a Taste of Dance short course, you can try new and different dance styles and find your own personal favourite. Choose among a wide range of dance classes and perform dance moves you never thought you could.

Natsuki is absolutely the best teacher I have encountered here.  While the other instructors are great, as a teacher she really stands out and I enjoy her classes the most.  She is so welcoming and patient with people of varying experience and abilities. Her vivacious personality really shines through and she’s incredibly instructive. I love the way she breaks down all the moves to understand them. Even as an absolute beginner her teaching style helps me to feel competent and to really be able to enjoy dancing.  10/10 would recommend trying her class!

This studio is fabulous with so many different classes. It's an establishment in Prahran, they have been around for years. My daughter attends ballet class and loves it. She also recently had her first concert, dance holiday program and dance disco. After this she said, "I have the best life ever." Adorable  We are very happy.

My 4 year old goes here for holiday program. The program is just excellent with very caring teachers. It is lovely to see kids performances at the end of the day.

Very open and welcoming Vibe for dancers of all ages. The instructors really take the time to teach you. The energy is just amazing.

Both my kids have been attending ‘The Space’ for a number of years doing weekly dance/musical theatre/acting classes and their amazing holiday programs. They look forward to their classes every week. It has become a place where they have the opportunity to nurture and develop their dancing/singing/acting skills whilst making friends and having fun. The highlight of the week for my kids is the musical theatre class on a Saturday morning which has allowed both my kids to grow in confidence and have memorable performance opportunities. They have always felt well-supported by all their teachers who have demonstrated high level of care, experience and the ability to cater for everyone. We feel very fortunate to be a part of ‘The Space’ family- it is such a nurturing, warm and friendly environment whilst also having the right balance of professionalism and fun.

Space Dance is an amazing studio with lovely and kind staff, it’s very safe and they’ve got a variety of activities, the shows are fantastic, my daughter does musical theatre and hip-hop and she loves it, specifically musical theatre! And many thanks to her teacher Philip Humphrey for being such an awesome teacher my daughter and all the other students love him!

Undoubtedly the best Dance Centre I've attended! Not only are there so many different classes & styles on offer, they range from beginner to intermediate and no class is ever the same. The teachers, staff & community feel at The Space is so warm & welcoming and, although I'm not from Melbourne, has made me feel right at home; it's something I look forward to each and every week. A centrally located dance school numerous open classes that run in the evenings and weekends for people to take. Pricing is affordable and they also offer discounted for multi visit passes.

There is something truly special about this dance school and the way that they teach and engage young children. The energy and magic in the room is electric and infectious and I’ve truly never seen my children happier than after a full day of dancing in the school holiday program.

I've danced here for years and love the community in this place. Loads of classes to choose from and some really brilliant teachers. It's also home to my favourite rehearsal space!  I’ve hired the Sky Deck for performances, filming video clips and holding workshops. It’s such a versatile space and they’ve made so many continuous improvements over the years to where it’s just super easy for me to walk in, set the room up for what I’m trying to achieve and then pack down without any hassle or restrictions.  Whether you need a huge room for a function or workshop or an intimate rehearsal space for a private lesson, they’ve got so many studios to suit everyone’s needs.  Oh and the owners are massive supporters of dance and have helped so many businesses and creators with new ideas and events so don’t be afraid to reach out to the studio if you’re wanting to start something and aren’t sure where to begin!
