The Smelly Cheese Shop was a really great place to buy some lovely and different cheeses that I had never heard of before. The service was fantastic, the owner ran us through the different types of cheeses and had a good chat with us, which really made the experience nice. The markets overall are great and The Smelly Cheese Shop was no exception. If you’re in the Central Market looking for some cheese I would highly recommend this place!!
If you love your cheese from Australia or the world, then come here. They have an amazing range of Australian cheese or from around the world. I highly recommend you check out this place, everything is reasonably priced and you can taste some of the cheese available. Plus you are supporting a local Australian business. They also sell everything else that goes with your antipasto platters like patès, bread, crackers, wines, cold meats and so many other things.
I love the Smelly Cheese Shop - they have everything cheese related that you could want! The staff are lovely and are always happy to give you cheese advice - what to put on a board, a cheese equivalent or if you want to try something completely new!! They also run some very cool events.
Have a good variety of imported & local cheeses, cakes & breads. They also have free cheese, bread & pate tastings, which is a great way to get to know different cheeses & pates before you buy.
Wow.....leaving this place feelin inspired and overwhelmed in a good way with new information and a newfound interest in cheese and chocolate pairing. I attended a "after dark" cheese, chocate and sparkling wine tasting and 100% can say i will be back for more! They sell out quickly...because it is a must see/do when in adelaide or even if you are a local wanting to get out and about. Trying cheeses from france and italy paired with locally made chocolate and wine. One of the most informative, fun, and inspiring evenings i have had! Thankyou
Were offering tastings of some of their cheeses and I wasn't shy to give them a go. Utterly delish and you get some background info on the product you're trying as well. I parted with a chunk of change and went home with some quality and wonderfully delicious cheese!
Visited the shop today and a young man helped me to select different cheese from France for 2 christmas parties I have this week. He was very helpful, efficient and very nice. I was very happy with the whole selection, really nice products, great quality. My french cheese platter is going to look absolutely amazing and taste wonderful. Will be back soon for more, as it is always a big success especially when I bring truffle brie to my guests!
I placed an order on the 19/12 and emailed confirming I would be picking up order on the 24/12. My order hadn’t even been thought about. They started packing it when I rocked up to pick it up. I wanted to check my order Infront of the person who packed it up, as I understand this is a busy time of year. So fresh eyes are always are great thing to have for the tired workers. However she walked away and didn’t even bother to give me that customer service. When I questioned about the size of the crackers I got she simply said as she was walking away from me when I was talking to her we only have that size and that’s it. How very rude for when I placed an order that wasn’t even ready to go. Remember customers are what keep you going... treat them properly instead of not caring. Last time I place an order from here and the only reason is the lack of care she had ... which was none. Hopefully the taste of the cheese will change my mind. So much for click and collect and confirming an order via email and saying it will be ready with in 24 hours. I gave them more then that and it still wasn’t ready.
Amazing selection, many French cheeses difficult to import!
Wow, this place is amazing! Delicious cheeses, knowledgeable and friendly staff, highly recommended!!!
