Good little lunch cafe. Ordered the burger and the homemade pie. Both were great. Service was pleasant. Nice atmosphere. Very clean and spacious. Food came out quickly. Has a large carpark.
A small cafe by the side of the road. The space felt a bit tight as they've allocated some space for retail of local products. The food was tasty enough and portions quite generous. Fresh ingredients probably sourced locally. A tad pricey though even when compared to city prices. Just outside where the carpark was, were a couple of horses and a dog which added charm to the place
It is a beautiful, cozy, little wooden house by the road. I was a bit disappointed when comparing the reviews and the service. We had to wait about 15 minutes justto order, and another 30 minutes for the food to come. They brought the tea much, much earlier than the food, so we ended up eating the food dry. The food is tasty and generous, but the beans from the breakfast plate were plain canned "Heinz-type" beans, the bread was just white and mushy, but the scrambled eggs were good and not dry. I was able to share this full breakfast plate with my husband for 22 dollars, though, and we left the place happy overall. The waiters were friendly, smiley and apologised for the long waiting. It also has a small section of clothing items and organic/homemade foods and plenty of tables inside and outside. Worth a try, but do not expect the best service you have ever seen!
Cosy little cafe with wonderful cheery service! Chunky beef pie was great. Lasagne was nice, just a tad dry and maybe a little too much pastry. Suggestion, a little side salad for both dishes may also round it off nicely. Almond mocha was perfect. Thanks :
Nice little place to stop for lunch. We had the 'Sri Lankan' more like Thai curry and a frittata, both of which were tasty. The kitchen is closed at 2pm and they don't allow customers to sit down at the table and chairs after this time.
Happened to drop by on a day in The Otways, ended up being a highlight of the trip. Lovely store, really fresh quality food highly recommend dropping by if visiting the area
Good coffee! I’d definately go back for just the coffee. We had the pie, a soup of the Daypumpkin and sweet potato and fritatta. Everybody liked their dishes. You can tell it’s homemade. Cosy place with friendly staff and a relaxed vibe to it. They also have clothes and some locally produced jams and knitwear.
Got the big breaky and smashed avo with an egg, both 10/10 would recommend. A must stop for breakfast or lunch if you’re in the area. Great coffee too!
The people seemed nice but my goodness the service was slow. A few coffees and meat pies took almost 45 minutes. A few hints, you have a pie warmer sitting there empty try putting pies in it so they are already warm rather than oven heating cold pies. Secondly you have a multi coffee cup machine, learn how to do more than one coffee at a time. Apart from that the coffee was good and the food was nice.
Amazing hamburgers - delicious and huge! Definitely worth stopping here for lunch along the Great Ocean Road.
