Basic but very nice place to camp. Remember to pay online on by phone. Some people claim that no mobile phone coverage exist. But we had connection. Used Optus

This National Park operated campground is the perfect base for exploring the many trails, lookouts and waterfalls of Springbrook National Park. It has 10-12 similar sized campsites with a good amenities block including electric BBQs in a covered eating area. As of Feb 1 the sites aren't numbered so even though we had a booking we failed to find a vacant campsite when we arrived late afternoon. After calling the Parks office they advised asking for people's permits or just camping near the BBQ area and move again the next day, which is what we ended up having to do.. It seems the Ranger isn't checking permits so a bit frustrating as the campsite over our 3 nights stay was full every night with overflow in the carpark. . But a great spot nonetheless. The camp area has toilets and bbqs to use. Day area only has picnic tables. Nice spot.

Good campsite base for exploring Springbrook National Park. Do not believe the Queensland Parks booking web page, this is a very busy camp area and fills up most nights. The eastern sites tend to be more open and sunny, the western more sheltered. Good facilities, BBQ shelter and tap water. Walking distance to the Purlingbrook Falls.
