Went here for dinner and loved it. Great service, great atmosphere and good location. I had the steak sandwich and loved it! I’ve been wanting to go back and have it ever since. Really tender steak, nice bread, and the chimichurri was delicious. Absolutely loved the crispy chips on the side. Will definitely be back.
Just decided to meet a friend visiting from overseas at The Sands this Tuesday. It’s a small, friendly venue and happened to be Trivia night. My friend had never tried a Parmi, so we both ordered one. The atmosphere was great, staff were friendly, and service was quick. Generous portions, and the chips were perfectly crisp.nHowever, once Trivia started, the mic volume was so loud we could barely hear each other. We quickly finished our meal and, on staff’s suggestion, moved to the balcony for some peace and quiet.nOverall, the meal was excellent value for money. We’ll definitely be back—just not on a Trivia night.
I loved the place, the atmosphere was great and the live band was terrific on a Friday night. It was a perfect volume where you could hear the song easily but didn't have to raise your voice to talk on the table. So many places don't do that! The downer for me was the rib fillet. It was mostly all fat and terrible. I ended up leaving half of it on the plate as it was just pure fat, and the meat part wasn't even enjoyable anyway. The mushroom sauce was shocking, I can make it way better at home. That really disappointed me considering I never get steak but decided I'll try this time and felt like it was a massive waste of $42. Honestly I would go back, because I liked the atmosphere, I just won't ever get steak or mushroom sauce here again. The house wine was quite nice too.
First visit - fantastic atmosphere, decor, staff and food.nSteak cooked perfect medium rare, parmigiana was one of the best schnitzels I've had in a long time. The dough for the garlic cheese bread was amazing, will definitely be back to try the pizzas! Great cocktail menu.
OMG how good is this place!? The staff are just great, helpful, professional, friendly while also appearing to enjoy themselves. And the food, really top notch - perfectly cooked Dory, spot on steak, superb Salad Bowl and great kids Burger still moist!. All very well presented and plated. Clean, well maintainted, nicely laid out, good furniture. Thumbs up. Yes, it was loud - live music Sat night. The band was very good, but not a huge venue so quiet areas are limited but wonderful staff found us a quiet area...
