First visit - fantastic atmosphere, decor, staff and food.nSteak cooked perfect medium rare, parmigiana was one of the best schnitzels I've had in a long time. The dough for the garlic cheese bread was amazing, will definitely be back to try the pizzas! Great cocktail menu.
Great local place to meet for lunch. Tasty food, good variety & great prices. Outstanding job by Callum who didn’t stop working the entire time we sat and ate our lunch. I noticed his ease and friendly demeanour with customer interactions, menu suggestions, through to the restaurant reset after a busy lunch period. Great to see his awesome work ethic.
We were surprised that the food was good we expected average, and the steaks cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive, and it had a good buzz about the place with a mixed clientele. If you are looking for a casual setting to eat, or have coffee/cake, I'd definitely give it a try :
My family and I dined at The Sands Social last night and we had a lovely time. The staff are professional and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their choice of meal, though I believe I hit the jackpot with their Sticky Lamb Ribs,it was to die for. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice relaxing meal with a lovely atmosphere and delicious food.
How disappointing. We WERE regulars here, always loved the place but will not hurry back. The menu has been changed. I do not or rather cannot eat a big meal. That is why we always went here, I could get the arancini balls with a nice little coleslaw salad on the side. Always was a lovely presentation. You are now going CHEAP AND NASTY. REALLY? Presentation is so important. Put the price up a $ or two and still present with the two tablespoons of coleslaw on the side instead of throwing four balls in a bowl. Absolutely no comparison. I sent it back. Not one bit appetising. Wow … who takes Pizza off a lunchtime menu. THAT IS A NON NEGOTIABLE nowadays … and I don’t even eat pizza. Others around us were complaining as well …. really ???nnMy husband got a crumbed steak … disgusting. The steak was paper thin, surrounded by burnt crumbs. The pepper sauce was lumpy, cold and maybe a HINT of pepper in the sauce.nnWow …. you have dropped the ball. As I said, we will not hurry back. So sad, was one of our favourite places. We have always taken friends here, loved the place as well …. we are so sad. Have you ever heard of the saying … ‘If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.’ Just put the prices up a little. Most people will pay a fair price for a good meal and not feel cheated, but will still feel cheated if paying less for rubbish.
