We were very excited about the amazing location of this place, however once we arrived we were quite disappointed. We were in room 2 (the "Queen Suite"), which is beside the communal kitchen-- and there is an actual window between the bedroom and the kitchen. There is a curtain to block the glass, but sitting on the far side of the bedroom, we could hear every word exchanged (at a normal, indoor volume) in the kitchen! There was also a rather sizeable gap at the bottom of the bedroom door. In short, there was zero privacy to be had. We went into the kitchen to speak to the owner and found him in his bathrobe at the communal kitchen table at check-in time. His personal belongings were also around the house-- folded laundry on the communal couch, bedroom door open, personal effects in the single shared bathroom for the house. Other than that, the building is very pretty and the rooms are nicely decorated, and judging by the conversations we heard in the kitchen I suppose at least some people staying there were happy and got along well. It was very cold, but that is not unexpected for an older house. Can't speak to the quality of the breakfast, water pressure, or internet speeds because we left shortly after arriving to find a place with a modicum of privacy.

Bitterly disappointed and disgusted by this provider, took our cash ( off our c/c in May ) and has now closed up, Booking.com unable to communicate with the owner because of lack of his response !!!
