Love the place. Food was delish literally every bite was tasty. Service customer was so lovely and friendly every time. Food took a but longer to deliver to the table. However, the time was worth it. The garlic bread was exquisite and fresh, it is one of my favorites so far. I'll ask for double garlic bread next time, four portions were a small entrance for me.
Great location for some outdoor food and beer session. Food is mixed, brisket was great if a little over sauced some slaw side would be nice but "Thai" vego noodle was poor and pretty woeful for $28. Probably best stick to meats and pub classics I'd say. Good wine list and reasonable priced and plenty of beers on tap as expected. Good variety to zero alcohol beers too had a good mandarin sour
Cool makeover, great service and delicious grub. Love the new feel of this place!Food: 5/5
Been to this place a few times and it hasn’t let us down. Have tried ribs, traditional fish and chips and a burger in the last few outings and they’ve all been great. The menu is decent, and the prices reasonable. They also have a nice cocktail menu which isn’t ridiculously priced like a lot of other places seem to like doing. I recommend the Retro Fruit Tingle! And the location overlooking the beach from the front dining area is superb.
quick dinner on a quiet Monday. 2 Adults- $$105. Bao Buns for starter then Parma and Seafood Chowder. being pretty quiet, the service was great. Bao Buns and Seafood Chowder were outstanding. thumbs up for the Parmy too. perfect serving sizes.
Pretty disappointing meal’s considering the prices .. great location but fish and chips were small meals , chips were cold and dry and the fish was oily . Kids meals were ok , but at $14.50 would have thought they might have included a drink or a desert. Cant say I d be returning for a meal . Nice place maybe for a drink to take your pooch .
Myself and a friend dined at the Salty Dog last night and did not particularly enjoy the experience. Food was hugely expensive and didn’t even make average. Seafood Fettuccine was basically spiced tomato sauce, 3 small pieces of cut up prawnwouldn’t have been a whole prawn, one mussel, one tiny piece of calamari and 2 scallops. My friend had salt and pepper calamari and was not able to finish it because it was tough. Both meals were luke warm on arrival. I have no objection to paying if the food is up to the standard of the high prices being charged. The young female waitress was lovely and politewhich is why 3 stars for service however the male staff member was quite unpleasant and couldn’t manage a smile. He kept asking if we wanted anything else when we were sitting having a conversation and continued to rush us until we were feeling uncomfortable and decided to leave. This was at 9pm and the the website states closing time is 10pm. Won’t be back.
What a great view ... Overlooking a beautiful Kingston Beach that can be enjoyed in the open air tables out front ... or from the seated table service area. Large beer garden with plenty of seating ... friendly and helpful staff ... Good size ... and tasty tucker ... Dog friendly outdoor areas ... With Captain Sneaky Licks doggy icecream available for purchase ...
Great place for dinner opposite the beach. Place was very busy, but they found us a table, which was very kind of them. Food was excellent, staff very attentive, and ambience was good. Would definitely recommend if in the area.Food: 5/5
Unfortunately not a good meal today, although been good in the past. Cold chips and weird tasting fish. Appreciated that they replaced chips and offered an alternative when I mentioned it to them. Staff are great. Maybe just an off day. Food: 1/5
