The Runaway Spoon provides a unique venue specialising in superior coffee and up-market cafe food. We bring an inner city vibe to suburbia offering innovative seasonal menu changes together with old fashioned menu favourites. From 7am, 7 days a week , our doors open to provide a convivial location to catch up with friends and family or meet with work colleagues.

Sitting just of the open air carpark on the quiet side of Lindfield train station, The Runaway Spoon has a calm feel about it and a real sense of community. Reliable food quality and great coffee makes this place a worthwhile visit. It is also one of the longer established cafes on the north shore. Super friendly staff too.

Good serving of thick cut chips to go with the crispy chicken burger. Chai latte had great taste and importantly served nice and hot.

It's always a good sign when a cafe hidden away at the back of a dingy old commercial building on a back street is absolutely packed full of people. All menus are all day which is fantastic.

The construction noise has impacted the outside area. Hopefully not for long.

I really enjoy coming here! Coffee is fantastic and the foods here have vegan options which is great for me. Definitely a hidden gem near the station but not too close to it. You can bring your little pooch here as well! Staff polite, friendly and attentive. 5 stars deserved!

Discovered this restaurant on DoorDash and have ordered multiple time. Does not disappoint. Quality of food is amazing. Would highly recommend. Will have to pop in sometime soon.
