Story

Established in November 2001, the rocks offers the mornington peninsula a unique fresh air dining experience with an absolute waterfront setting.
Two separate dining environments, the dining room and the covered deck, provide the perfect location to celebrate life.
The rocks offers modern mediterranean cuisine, a variety of the freshest seafood and a variety of lighter options for lunch. Daily and seasonal menu changes ensure our food is of the highest quality.
The rocks is fully licensed and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days per week throughout the year.
Reservations can be made for the dining room (for any time of the day) or for the deck (for dinner only), and are advised.

Came here for my partners 30th birthday lunch and were over the moon. The food was UNREAL the service was FANTASTIC we were put right next to the ocean it was pure bliss. Would recommend to anyone who appreciates good food and amazing cocktails 11/10
My family and I went here for a birthday lunch and the entire restaurant is incredible! High quality and fresh seafood and desserts for a moderate price and the customer service is just as fantastic.
Delicious food and a stunning view from the restaurant! Highlights were the sticky pork ribs and the profiteroles. The linguine pasta also included a generous portion of mussels. Service was friendly.
The sushi rice was hard so it can't have been made fresh. The beetle leaf tasters were ok, but overly sauced rather than the taste coming from great ingredients. The prawns were ordinary: not incredibly fresh and no better than supermarket prawns done at home.
Venue is great. Food is hit and miss. Nigiri sushi had dry, underseasoned rice. Whole fried baby snapper was cooked well but then had what tasted like bottled sweet chili sauce poured over it. Skull Island prawns were good.
Although we weren't able to get a table on the deck, this was one of the best dining experiences I had with my family. A really enjoyable eve. Wonderful accommodating staff and the food was on point - couldn't fault a thing! Every dish was presented beautifully.
A meal much awaited but well worth it. Iconic views and great tasty meals after a long time and we were not disappointed. Generous size meals with bold flavours. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Good seafood options and extensive wine list
