The promise of a house-roasted coffee drew me in but I was underwhelmed by the espresso I was served. It tasted no better than a stale mass-market coffee you can buy from a convenience store. I can't comment on the food offerings here as I only had coffee. Service was kind of weird. Very young girl serving from the front window and would then periodically race out the big red door to deliver an order to a table out the front. Inside was dimly-lit and I could see only one older woman "on the tools" in both the kitchen and then pivoting belt out coffee orders.
Good coffee, Jindabyne pricing, nice to sit in the morning. Service was average possibly understaffed? Can't speak for the food 4/5 "I Like it"
Bitter, barely drinkable coffee, large flat white with regular milk was $5.50. They couldn't tell me what beans they used, except that they were the "house blend" from "Africa and Indonesia". But the young lady who served me was nice and they were still making coffees up until 3pm.
Best breakfast in Jindabyne. Fresh and delicious.
Ate twice, had the Rueben - amazing. Had breakfast and great too. Staff so so, don’t really great or talk and almost feel like you’re an inconvenience. I’ll still go back as the food is great
Coffee wasn’t great, and neither was the service. Asked what brand of almond milk they use, not my preferred brand so i said no worries and ordered a soy cap instead. Got eyes rolled at me and rudely questioned “well do you want to know what brand of soy we use too?!” as if to mock me for asking. Soy cap ended up being burnt and bitter, should have left after the rude questioning and judgement.
Yummy coffee and treats. We enjoyed our stop here-- brought a picnic lunch and ate outside on the table then enjoyed some coffee and treats from the cafe. A cozy little pit stop.
Great location to sit in the morning sun. Lots of outdoor seating. Was popular with the locals. Coffee was excellent
The Red Door coffee is very good. Unfortunately each morning we were there another customer chain smoked cigarettes. My understanding of NSW law is that smoking is not allowed in outdoor dining areas but I asked the waitress if that was the case. Her response was that the smoker was a “local” so there was nothing she could do. So a 4 star for their coffee but a 1 star for dishing it up with a good dose of passive smoke!
I thoroughly enjoyed my bacon and egg roll on Turkish bread - it was a perfect start to my day. I loved the bonus Smartie with my coffee, too. Prompt, friendly service for me. I plan to visit again, next time I'm in the area. Thank you
