The best new restaurant on Whangarei's waterfront! Opens at 9am, with our brunch menu till 2pm and a full menu 11-3pm, Bar menu available from 3-5pm then full dinner menu avaliable 5pm-9pm.

Story

Your owner's Mike and Lloyd invite you to come and share their passion for brilliant service and food at their newest restaurant, The Quay. Opening Saturday 9th July, the brunch menu runs from from 9am - 2pm, the main menu from 11am - close and a bar menu 3-5pm.
The animals are hand reared on their farm near Pukekohe, the only local restaurant to offer paddock to plate meats, ensuring the finest quality of meats are served.
Their award winning Chef has designed a brilliant menu, which will be loved by everyone, also children friendly with a kids menu too. From local beers and wines, to international bottles, you'll love your experience at the Quay

Had a really great experience here. The food was delicious and full of flavour. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Service was quick without feeling rushed, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the food and customer experience. Would happily come back again.
Hadn't been here in a while so after sitting in the riverbank theatre's production of Dad's Army for 2.5 hrs, we decided to treat ourselves. Wow. Our host was Walker from Texas! We had a small dog with us and wanted to sit outside with her but also stay warm so right away he ushered us to the alfresco covered gazebo area and made us feel so welcome with heater and blankets provided. He explained specials and other men items clearly. Food came out promptly 15-20 mins after we ordered and was delicious. The Gnocchi ohh deeeelish! Couldn't resist the tiramisu cheesecake either that didn't get a photo. Thanks Walker, top notch server and team!
We had the seafood linguine, which i would not recommend. It is not nice. The linguine is abit overcooked and mushy. The steak recommended by the waiter was good. But it had some sides which were not exactly tasty. The service crew was definitely welcoming and a plus. But the food I wasnt impressed for the ratings it has gotten though. Cleanliness is also not fantastic because it is beside the waters. The view and atmosphere is great though.
Lovely location for a catchup, scrumptious food and tasty cocktails, right on the water. There is a wide range of different seating areas. Great menus should cater for most.
Waitress was lovely.nAtmosphere nice.nFood took ages over 45 mins.nnSo many flies. We counted 14 on the table next to usnnConfusion over the bill. Lamb appeared to be $60, when we went to pay it was $160 .nSomething weird going on with the hard copy of the menu.
