Really pretty, full of memorabilia and some lovely handmade wood tables. Despite the name there is a good selection of beers both on tap and in bottles as well as the range you would expect from a well stocked bar. The steak and mushroom pies, available all day are worth trying, and the kitchen opens at 5.30pm for a full meal including burgers, steak, lamb and crumped seafood. Large outdoor areas and plenty of seating in the bar and bistro. Welcoming staff and a wonderful house dog who made us feel very welcome.
The young ladies were friendly and welcoming. The food was good. Timber tables were art on their own. A lovely pub of memorabilia, A relaxing time there.

What an awesome pub to have dinner at staff were super friendly and helpful, lots of seating inside and out. There is also a park right across the road to distract the kids.
A lovely pub with some cool Slim Dusty memorabilia. Reasonably priced food and drink and an area where you can eat if you like us are travelling with your dog. Unfortunately it was raining and that particular area isn't covered so we didn't stop for a meal. Next time we will choose a nicer day!
Such an awesome Aussie bush pub. Do yourself a favour, make the drive, have a drink and something to eat and enjoy it.
One of my favourite pubs. I have relatives who grew up here so a very sentimental place. For a pub in the middle of nowhere, the history is so rich, rendered through rustic charm where the design and photos do the talking. Oh and a solid beer list and very tasty pub food. The Dusty Lager a hero beverage to tipple on the verandah.
Loved this place. The pub grub was tasty, the people friendly, the pub full of novelty and Slim Dust Memorabilia. The accommodation was clean, cheerful and value for money. Definitely worth the trip!!
Always wanted to see this pub, drove there mid week, was going to have lunch but was travelling with our 2 Border Collies and signs everywhere NO dogs, sighting health regulations?? Nowadays we have visited so many pubs, breweries, cafes, restaurants that allow dogs in a designated area. Times have changed, updates are needed. Had a lovely lunch at Macksville in a dog friendly cafe.
Rooms are gross, management/owner is useless. Paid for 2 nights upon arrival, second morning 8am owner tried to unlock & enter our room. I told him we're in here, he accused me of not paying & that we shouldn't be here. Stayed previously owner again tried to enter my room with his keys, without knocking. Stayed here plenty of times over the last 10 years, with the new owner/management the place has really gone down hill. So disappointing. Don't waste your time or money!
