food wasn't bad but the steak being the most premium item on the menu shouldn't be as tough as it was... likely defrosted last minute.nnwine list or menu would be a nice addition as it's a food centric kinda place with great spaces outdoors and in.nnWide selection of beverages and likewise the food options. Will definitely come back again to try other dishes!
Stopped here for a meal and its a beautiful hotel very friendly staff and a great atmosphere to eat and the food was fantastic, In my opinion It really should of been a five star experience but it lost two points for the following reasonsn1 the place was to expensive for a pub meal as were the drinks.n2 they gave you the option of a half meal and a full meal. I ordered the full meal, at the price I paid I expected a large meal but instead I walked out hungry. I have had bigger meals as seniors meals for half the price. The reasons are of course my opinion and I have eaten at 100s of hotels all over Australia.
The new owners have done a brilliant job!! The new look inside is excellent. Well set out with a seperate pool room & dining area & 2 outdoor 'beer gardens'.nA welcoming atmosphere, with friendly, helpful staff & a must try menu. Reasonably priced.nWill definitely return, probably the quietest pub in town.
Ordered the pork roast. It was so-so but the crackling was awful. Basically rubber. I could literally tie it in a knot see pic. Service was friendly but slow and barely around. Local beer selection was excellent. Ribs and kids pasta were apparently okay. Not terrible but even in Seymour you could do better.
The hot chips were amazing i had a steak meal cooked exactly how I wanted. The beer here is epic TOOBORAC brewery, every type I tried was delicious ill be taking some roadies with me.nnEdit:nnThe 8 pack of winter beers I took with me were even better than what I tried while I was there. All 12 of the TOOMBAC Brewery beers I tasted were epic such a treat. The hot chocolate chili stout tasted just like the one I made
