Friendly and welcoming staff. We got there just before the kitchen was closing and they were patient to take our orders. The prawn linguine was delicious and we were overall pleased with the casual experience.
We were greeted by really warm & friendly staff and the service was great all night. There was a wide selection of drinks. The menu was understandably limited but the pasta dishes were amazing!! A great place to spend a Saturday night. Well done to the crew for soldiering on in very trying times for the local hospitality industry. Definitely recommend this place!
Don’t like to leave negative reviews but walked away feeling like what happened wasn’t right. Saw the sign for Happy hour yesterday at 4pm so thought that sounded nice and waited until 358pm. Went inside and spoke to the bar staff 2 of them about what wine and beer was part of happy hour and explained that’s why we came in. Had a taste of a beer, made our selection and then got charged FULL price because it went through the till at 3.59 and 58 seconds. I’m not joking. We didn’t notice until we got back to our seats that we paid $24 for glass of wine and 1 beer! Spoke to the bar manager i think, who explained that it was “the till’s fault” that we didn’t get the advertised discount. We were not even offered a refund for the difference - just told we could have money off our next round but by this stage we didn’t want to give them any more of our custom. 2 seconds literally cost me $5.00. It’s that ridiculous, I’d laugh if I wasn’t so annoyed. My phone said it was 4pm by the way.
Driven past this place countless times but I'm really glad we finally went. Meals are really good, certainly worth the price. Drinks list was well selected. Staff were great, very helpful and eager to provide a good experience. Can't really fault much about the visit
Nice food, good service. If you traveling down south to Dunsborough. Very recommended.
Expected something at least ok but food was a disgrace, tasteless meatlovers pizza with very little meat on it, so called grilled salmon served raw and cold with beans also almost raw as well. No stars from me !
Visited just after 4 pm on a Wednesday when we found that other places didn't start dinner service until much later. Went in for a beer, but stayed for the $25 Wednesday special of pizza and a pint. Really fantastic fresh ingredients on thin crispy pizza crust, rustic and delicious. The specific beers that went with the pizza deal were all very good. Best part, besides the casual but welcoming proprietor, was being able to sit in front of a crackling wood fire on a cool evening. Okay, it was tremendously wonderful because the place where we were staying in town had no heat and it was 14 C inside the house! So again, The Pour House really rates in terms of a good spot for a chat, a libation, and some chow. Can't wait to return and warm up again!
My husband and I went in to grab a bite on a Sunday arvo around 3pm. The menu was interesting and uncomplicated I ordered the linguini and my husband had the grilled fish and chips. Lovingly prepared and plated. The prawns were perfect the fish perfect as well as good beer and beverage selection all affordable with pleasant surroundings and helpful friendly staff. you had numerous choices to sit as well as an upstairs area. Very satisfied. Here's a snap of upstairs looking out from where were seated.
Wonderful food, venue and service by Maria ..thankyou first time visit ..will be bsck for sure.
Underwhelming Visited a few years back and very much enjoyed it. Before visiting again last week we saw some negative reviews but decided to ignore based on past experience. Bad idea. Pizzas looked good on insta so we asked for pizza menu, no pizzas on a Sunday? Odd. It was 5.50pm and we were told a couple large groups were due at 6pm so to get orders in fast as the kitchen was already running low. The place was at about 1/10 capacity so this was strange. My partner got the steak which was lovely, I ordered the king Prawn salad. There were only 4 prawns and after removing the shell this doesn't leave a lot of meat. Taste was nice though. While we were eating we overheard staff tell a table they were now out of steak, lamb burgers and beef burgers. As far as I could see these 'large groups' had still not arrived though. After dinner I went to the bar to order desert and was advised there is a 40 min wait for desert ad the kitchen was swamped. The place was still more than half empty. We left and got desert elsewhere. Good beer options buy they were overpriced. Won't be returning.
