Awesome spot for a swim humans in summer or the dog anytime. Some nice water holes and some cool rocks to jump off. Lots of natives trees in the surrounding bush. Car park gets pretty full in summer.
The most beautiful river spot. We came in winter on a beautiful sunny day and got the whole place to ourselves. I imagine in summer it would be very busy! Deep, clear water, surrounded by bush. The walk down takes around 3-4 minutes and is a little steep but manageable in jeans and vans!
Awesome spot for river swimming. Very refreshing translation: cold. Some rocks for jumping in to deeper pools. Unfortunately very little shade. A short walk from parking. Bring flip flops for the walk down and across the rocks
A wee walk down from the carpark and you are in rocky river paradise. Spent the day here in and out of the water and soaking up the sun. Bring sunblock as there is little shade :
Good parking with WC just a short downhill walk to river. Crystal clear water which is rather refreshing and invigorating.
The Pots Reserve in Otaki, was nice and Calm and nice place to Swim and Explore. And Nice to Walk and Exercise and Have a Picnic as well. ‍
Beautiful location to relax and go for a swim.

Nice place. Great views and swimming. Bring insect repellent because those sandflies are hungry
