The market fish “Snapper” was delicious, fresh and cook perfectly. We were a group of 8 and although the food was tasty, the service was terrible, very cold, they didn’t come to the table after our meals to offer dessert or tea. The male waitress was not welcoming at all. When we first walked in, we had to find our friends who were already seated. Such a shame, as they could make this a better dining experience.
Delightful dinner, service and atmosphere! The ragu was particularly delightful for our party of 7.
Para is by far the best value of outstanding heavenly flavoured food. For$60 a 5 course meal each course enabling the pallet to relish in exquisite flavours. The atmosphere and service are refreshing superb and by far this is the best restaurant in the Illawarra Parking: Easy access to car park across the road
Absolutely worth visiting this distinct restaurant. The food is original, very delicate and subtle, the flavours are combined very exquisitely to produce a unique culinary firework! The service by Laudero is so caring and classy! Just loved it. Highly recommend!!
Very good fresh food. The waiter is knowledge and friendly. I had the salmon tartare which was tasty and large enough. This was followed by the 72 hour beef which I thought should have been a but more tender. The biggest problem I had was the sourdough bread which was delicious but for one bun....paying 4 AUD feels a bit tight.
What incredible offerings. We honestly couldn’t let the meals sit there long enough for photos without us wanting to pounce on them, so as to sooth our watering mouths. The waitress we had was an absolute delight, and deserves a raise. Greta value for 6 people, great wine selections, and recommend the tasting menu. Cheers
Had such a mixed experience! Food was disappointing, and deceivingly expensive as the ‘large plates’ are just a single portion size of meat/fish/quarter of a butternut squash. Paid $22 for 2 quartered figs. The service from one man was wonderful, really great energy… the rest of the service was not so friendly.
Great relaxed and cosy atmosphere, positive knowledgeable and engaging serice, and a menu that is all about quality not quantity. Each dish is designed to share, and packed with mountains of flavour, to the point of the 'sides' being stars themselves. There are no weaknesses on the short menu so order with confidence, you will be very satisfied. Oh and do yourself a favour, trust the staff when they recommend leaving room for the cheesecake....WOW! Easily one of the best dining experiences on the South Coast.
Girls lunch 3 of us. We dined on a number of shared plates and could not fault any of the dishes - they were full of flavour and beautifully presented. The roasted artichoke dish was an absolute stand out. In terms of portions, just the right size for sharing. Found the service to be attentive, friendly and helpful. Would have given 5 stars but the coffee machine wasn't working and the chocolate tart had not finished baking. Overall a lovely experience. Will definitely visit again.
Delicious food and fantastic service in a chic setting makes for a special night out. An easy stroll up to Anita's Theatre. Nice to see some NSW wines on the menu. It's not a huge menu but all tastes are covered and everything is beautifully cooked and presented with great flavours. Nothing is over seasoned so you get a delicious sense of authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
