Went to catch a gig last night and have dinner and I just wanted to recognise the excellent service we received. There was a problem with our order not going through to the kitchen due to a power outage, which happens from time to time. We had to wait a really long time for our meals but we were given two free jugs and some free snacks to compensate AND the manager couldn't have been nicer about it. When we did get our food it was really good. Sometimes these things are unavoidable but they dealt with it in a really gracious and generous manner. Still one of my favourite pubs in the north.

Nice relaxed place to hang out with friends. We went on a really hot weekday for lunch. It's air-conditioned inside and there's a beer garden out back that's fairly large.

 There's a special on weekday lunches, $15 for a meat or felafel burger, chips and a pot of Coburg lager. The burger was tasty and the ingredients were fresh and the chips were also cooked well. Pretty good value for money.

Let me start by saying OH MY GOD.
Everything about this place is amazing; from when you enter through the doors, to the marvellous bartenders, and the food! THE FOOD! I have had steaks before and my god the steak (which was on the specials board) was absolutely sublime! It took me on an amazing journey from start to finish. Kudos to the amazing team for making this establishment the wonderful oasis that it is! 11/10 will come again.

On recent a trip to melbourne we decided to try this pub and found the following to be the case....music, good choice and not to loud....food, pub staples with a side serve of pretentiousness,......after we had eaten i tried to find the bottle shop (no luck) I will try the bar. I waited in pointless desperation for 5 minutes trying to get the bar staff to make eye contact with my money, while they leaned on the beers taps chatting to the regulars

I normally frequent this venue and have thus far been pleased. However, tonight was a much different story. We were greeted at the bar by a most unpleasant, gothic looking young man with an enormous chip on his shoulder and dark, shoulder length, (somewhat feminine) chip pan hair. I can only guess this creepy villian had bad memories of a tortured childhood as I stood there in astonishment at his appalling manners. Needless to say I will no longer attend this venue. If you're after manners and great food, the Moorland hotel can deliver where the post office fails. Hope this helps.
