The iced coffee at this place has some kind of secret sauce. It's incomparable. The comments about staff are both fair and unfair. Some of the staff here are super attentive and polite, and some are kinda too cool to acknowledge you let alone provision you with food/drinks. But the balance goes to the good guys, and it seems to be getting better rather than worse. None of this matters though, because the iced coffee is delicious.

Asked what food was ok for my dietary requirements. Staff member suggested a couple of things, but not very knowledgeable about what food was ok. Chef not around to help. Staff member suggested one food is 'probably' ok. This is not an acceptable response. Staff member not interested in meeting my dietary requirements or in making a sale. Instead, doing something on iPad or tablet, almost ignoring me. Chose one of the earlier suggestions. Then, another staff member gave me my order at my table. I said thank you but no response. Very impersonal service, will not return. Meal was quite nice though, but took it away to eat

A poorly run coffee shop in a beautiful old building. The atmosphere and environment is great within this historic old government building. However QUT really needs to renegotiate the lease. I've been here several times and somehow it gets worse each time. Burnt coffee, dirty and uncleared tables, and surly service. To add insult to injury they've now removed table service and brought in a "customer does the work" buzzer system where you have to go and collect your own order. The provided trays to do so are coated with the crust of months of spilt coffee. The atmosphere of the old building is highly tempting, but you'll be better off at pretty much any of the less charming alternatives on campus.

A beautiful café and lovely staff. However, why did you take the real plates/glasses/cups away?? This is so unsustainable and sad, everything comes out wrapped in 4 layers of unecessary packaging that all goes in the bin - there is also no recycling bin accessible to the customers. Please think about the planet and bring real crokery and cutelry back :)

I've been getting my daily coffee here for the past 12 months and still cannot find a fault in their delivery. Staff are always pleasant, the coffee is fantastic and the food is great. 6/5 stars!
