Palladium at Crown is VERY big. I'm pretty sure you could easily fit 250+ Wedding guests inside quite comfortably. Probably more if you have tables on the dance floor too. I really enjoyed shooting a wedding here in October. Besides being a beautiful venue, the staff were all very big to us. Thanks to their kindness, it was very easy for us to capture many great shots for the bride and groom :
Amazing staff, service, food and styling. I attended a function with 1200 guests and the service and food was flawless. I don't know how they make it work behind the scenes but I have been to several different functions at Palladium and it have never been any less than 5 stars. The team behind this type of production should be highly praised. Well done!
I'm a wedding photographer and hey, hands down it's my favourite room in Crown! The view is insane and its lighting system is just top notch! The people who work here are next level awesome. They're super friendly and always go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect, too : Planning a wedding can be stressful, but these guys make it a breeze. If you're on the hunt for an epic wedding venue, this is it!
Very classy venue with exceptional service. The food was well prepared and delicious. They lost one star because of the audio system. It's sounds like a cheap Kmart boom box.
Very dark inside, close to the fountain and not far from the entrance points where you can park or catch a taxi. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the closest point of tram stop. There are restaurants and shops and cafes there. I went upstairs for the event function. Not good for children and youths, very much like a maze complex!
Having attended two different functions here.. I have enjoyed the food each time. Set menu.. the desserts are a highlight.. huge space.. there where 200 people at our event.. The toilets are are huge and clean.. Service from staff too notch.
I volunteered at the Monash Children's Hospital Gala. I never knew Crown had such amazing function venues! The place was set up beautifully by the Crown staff and volunteers. The guests all looked so beautiful and the catering staff were all so calm and relaxed. Performance were great, amazing big screens so if you can't see the stage you don't have to turn and twist around. Had a great time and would volunteer again!
Way too noisy and show not much good. A pleasant evening though. Singer off tune and voice was strained. Too much yelling over the way too loud taped band. Incorrect notes. I heard the saxophone but i was looking at it on its stand. BUT most of the crowd loved it and lots were dancing all the time and really enjoying the atmosphere and the show. So overall a nice way to spend an evening.
Loved working here, staff were awesome and food was divine.
Regular visitor to the Crown, often attending functions in the Palladium Room, which is a massive, imposing and elegant room, easily holding over 1000 people there on a Saturday night. Staff are great here, very friendly and polite and nothing seems to be too much trouble. My only beef with Crown is the cost of Parking, a flat $50 at night!!!!! The massive, underground carpark is STILL, even at these prices, nearly always chock a block full!!! It took me nearly 20 minutes to find a spot! It used to be $10 for the whole evening there a while back, not $50. Ah well, supply and demand!
