Came here on a small trip back to our hometown and we came back to the Old Syd. Last time we had it was in 2005.nnPerfectly executed presentationnCame for the food. Stayed for the food and the banter with the waitress.nnI tried my hardest to savour every moment of the food. As this was the best meal I have ever had I even ate my grandmothers.nnThis is truely heaven food. Feels like true luxury for the fairest of prices.nnWould highly recommend. Even for the Rissoles alone.

The steak was nothing short of perfection – cooked exactly how I like it and full of flavour. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in town.nnThe service was exceptional from the moment we walked in – friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the staff take pride in what they do.nnThe dining room has a lovely, relaxed family atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re there for a casual dinner or a special occasion, it’s the perfect spot. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back!
I love the Old Sydney hotel. I love coming here for meals and the occasional drink. But the sole the reason I love the Old Sydney is due to my bartender Angie. She is extremely welcoming, understanding and makes me feel extremely comfortable. I’ve experienced other bartenders at this pub but none of them experienced to Angelica. She makes me so comfortable and if it wasn’t for her I would not attend the Old Sydney Hotel. I absolutely love Angelica
Poor night at the Sydney...... table was booked online and the staff had no idea and table was not ready.nnBeers were cold nnWaited an hour for our meal .... the restaurant was not busy.nnSalad was poor didn't even look like a salad with cabbage in it !!!!nnSteak was the highlight... cooked well and as requested, but had to go and ask for my pepper sauce!!!nnRibs were dry and cold nnThe dining room was dirty and the roof has extensive water damage and the A/C units are filthy ....... listeria breeding ground nnOverall the night was disappointing and seen several meals from other customers went back to the kitchen.
Food was lovely had the chicken burger, wife had the king avo both very nice and huge. service was friendly, did take a little longer than expected to come out but worth waiting for.
