This place is not what it used to be. I assume that this has something to do with the new owner, because the coffee is not the same standard that as it once was. The burger I ordered was no better than a sandwich I could have made for myself. A friend of mine previously worked there, told me how unusual he found it that all of the staff working there were male except for one girl who was working the kitchen. Well this might explain why my lady friend who applied for a job here, and has extensive experience working in 5 star restaurants/cafes in both France and Australia never received a response from the gay owner. Ignore the 5 star reviews, this cafe is overrated.

Food and coffee are both good here - though coffee has gone up in price, to $3.80 for a regular coffee (from $3.50). Baristas are good and the staff are always friendly. Also a good selection of teas on offer, and served in a very cute teapot for one. Food is American style, which is nice — I prefer the breakfast menu to lunch, with lighter options available vs. massive burgers (there are lighter lunch options too, I just love the brekky menu). There’s a good selection of baked goods as well. I’ve come here a few times just to have a coffee and read/journal by myself and the staff have still been attentive despite my small order. There’s tall benches that are good for a solo visitor, so I don’t have to take up a whole table to myself.

Food is tasty with generally good portions. Prices are a bit steep compared to mamy other cafes. Whilst the Campos brand coffee really isn't that nice the staff here try and put some life into it anyway. Had a coffee which started to go cold and when asked if the could warm it up a bit they surprised me by making a fresh one at no cost. For that alone it's 5 stars but the pricing just pulls it back from an all over 5 stars. Recommendation - Give it a go, you will enjoy it but at a price.

Great little cafe, food is tasty but a bit pricy. Service is always top notch, with a smile and a friendly hello.
