Local and cosy couple of good options on the tap. A very good option you have is to get burgers from Bad Lover Burger just across the street bring it in and enjoy with an ice cold pint. Lovely staff, large screens if you want to watch a game. I didn't try their food but I'm sure it comes with the same high standards.
I have been there for lunch. And I ordered a burger special and drinks. Unfortunately I got my meal was wrong and I need to wait when my friends almost finished. Anyway, the special burger was a beef petty w cheese, 3 tomato slices , 4 pickles and little bit of mayo looks very simple and empty. The thing was the petty seems undercooked. The mixture was mushy and slimy inside. I talked to the guyseems like an owner. The guy said the petty was cooked due to buying in product and he didn't even have a look the condition of petty. I couldn't continue the meal cause I could feel it's something wrong and I may sick if I have. What I was disappointed is he never thought other possible issues like being old or storage wrong way etc. It was my first time visit and read lots of reviews here. However, had terrible experience and others need to know as well.
Its a good place to hang out get a cold one on board and the manager is a nice bloke too
I couldn't understand why there were other patrons at the Exchange Bar who bought their own takeaway from Badlove Burgers across the road and just ordered drinks from the bar. I thought that was incredibly rude and I was surprised it was allowed. And then we experienced the food from Exchange, and suddenly understood. It was a long, long wait for some really overpriced and underwhelming food. The loaded fries were edible, but everything else was dismal. The salt & pepper squid was oily, flavourless and missing the advertised side salad, while the sliders was just some quite questionable meat slapped on an old crusty roll that the cook must have found in the back of the cupboard somewhere. The only person who really enjoyed it was my 16 year old child after she was served an alcoholic ginger beer instead of the non-alcoholic version we ordered although she was very disappointed when we realised the mistake and returned it to the bar where the server gave us a replacement. Looking forward to checking out Badlove Burgers next, judging by all the Exchange Bar customers eating their Burgers they must be really good
What a lovely find, quality craft beers, cider, spirits and the Negroni of the house did it for me. A very good solo artist was playing Friday night which gave the evening an edge over the other bars. 5 stars - kudos to the lovely staff.
Great little small bar and cafe with super friendly staff.Food: 5/5
A hidden gem in Perth!! We ordered food and drinks with dinner, the food was great and when I asked the the bartender I think her name was Lena she said they were made by a Michelin star chef? So tasty. I had the gnocci and my friend got the Thai green curry. I ordered a couple of the local beers on tap a chocolatey stout and a ginger beer and my friend got the cocktail of the day. Both fantastic. They even had the football on a big screen. Will be coming back for sure!
We had a staff lunch here and it was absolutely fantastic. The gentleman that served us and I believe also did the cooking was beyond lovely, very funny and was just an all round joy to deal with. Food was amazing too. A great place to have around the corner from our office.
A nice cozy place to sit at.. good food options.
