Scottish Flair in New Zealand. The Octagon in Dunedin is a perfect place to get some food or drinks, have a chat, visit a museum or cinema. It's the truly the heart of the city. Don't forget to visit the Robert Burns statue and the beautiful railway station.

The Octagon in Dunedin, New Zealand Visited on 2/2/2019 The Octagon is the CBD of Dunedin, and has cafes, restaurants and shops. It is an eight-sided plaza with a circular one-way carriageway. During the cruise ship season, which is between Octabber and May, the Octagon Art & Craft Market is held here. It may not be exactly a shopper's paradise, but does provide access to a large variety of originally designed and produced products from local Dunedin.
