Hearty pub grub and locally brewed beer in a charming, 2-storey tavern with regular live rock bands.

A highly recommended pub, the atmosphere is unlike anything I have seen before.nThe pianists play beautifully and the crowds sing with them, it’s like karaoke on speed.nI did find the drinks to be a bit overpriced, but the service was good!nnI’ll rate them from 1-5 strawberries where 1 is the lowest and 5 is the best:nService: 5/5 nProduct: 4/5 nPrice: 2/5 19$ Pina colada nWait: 5/5 nOverall awesomeness: 5/5
This place is just such a vibe. When you get there you can either enter the two “normal” bars for free or pay 20$ for the piano bar. Totally worth it!
The duet piano play off nights are THE BEST. A must visit if you’re up to a sing along and a dance with your friends or with complete strangers. It’s a friendly and safe vibe . This place is so much fun. The artists are brilliant. The only downfall which was unfortunate and uncomfortable was there wasn’t adequate air conditioning and it was a jot balmy night . Not sure if the AC wasn’t working or non existent - it was so hot , but worth the fun, song and dance . I hope I visit again
I went to a gig that was $55 for a ticket. All I wanted was an espresso martini however I was told I could only get one at the cocktail bar in the piano room, that you have to pay to enter. Really doesn’t make sense. 20 minutes prior a friend had been given a wrist band for free so she could go to that bar and the bathroom in there. Yet I was denyed a cocktail still unless I paid for piano bar entry. I’m a local, I’m not paying to enter a cocktail bar or for a piano bar that used to be free, and plays the same songs over again for tourists.nBouncers either need to be firm with these silly dynamics/ rules or really workout a way of other paying customers to still have access to all of the facilities.nPerhaps offering cocktails in the main bar would solve the confusion and irritation.nI Used to love the Northern but things like this just make me not want to go there anymore. Aswell as this some certain bouncers are rude and on a high horse. It makes me uncomfortable.
Wow a Guinness, smashing onion rings and the UFC in a nice bar. 6 stars
