We had a meal here a few nights ago! Meals were delicious, very generous size and really reasonable price. Really cool atmosphere and very friendly staffService: 5/5
We ate at the bistro part of the hotel . I ordered the veg lasagna. It arrived having been baked and delivered with a chocolate brown top and crisp edges . I returned it and said it was burnt . Sometime later a slice reappeared with I soft cheese melted over the top . It concealed the original burnt offering and was luke warm . The veg part was ok. Unfortunately I can only suggest it would have been more appealing had the cook removed the over cooked topping and reheated it was a fresh cheese sauce not taken the speedy easy route. The other meal was a straight forward bangers and mash. No complaints.
Great local pub! We stopped here on the drive through town going out to alpha. The pub was really lovely inside, staff were very kind. Drinks well priced. Had the tiramisu which wasn’t bad atal! Played a game of pool which was free! The outdoor area is quite nice as well! Great place to go for a stop in, would return! Food & drinks: Had some drinks and the tiramisu which was pretty good! Noteworthy details: Free pool table!
Stayed here in one of the cabins, very spacious and loved the log style cabin, very cool and was not expecting this in Rubyvale. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t get the tv to work for the kids.Rooms: 4/5
We arrived for a 3 day sporting carnival 2 gents, and there had been a mix-up in the booking at their end. The lady explained their problem & offered us a pre prepared solution, subject to our approval. We stayed 1 night in their rustic cabins & and the next morning, they transferred us across the road to another property that had a newly renovated 2 bed both ensuited self-contained unit. It was flash for the bush. See the photo, we should have had our wives there too. We simply walked out next morning and our bags & food were in the new place that night. It was part of the Gem sales business . We ate at the Rubyvale pub & received a complimentary meal each & a discount on our 3 night accommodation to say sorry! It would only happen in the country, 2 businesses working together to support their customers. The food at the pub was great each night, the service above & beyond, & we even got a hug from Kate for being "understanding." Next time our carnival is in the Gemfields, we will definitely be back. Their rustic cabins are great & sleep up to 5 people.
We stopped in on our way west from Emerald. Heaps of character and friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Great place to sink a few drinks over a couple games of pool.Service: 5/5

Stopped in for a cold beer after doing some gem fossicking down the road. Was pleased we arrived for "happy hour" and only $5 scooners!! Excellent pub, awesome smoking area with cool water mist blowing to keep you cool. Fantastic staff and friendly locals... highly recommended even a bottle shop on premises.Service: 5/5
Arrived in town to pouring rain, not keen to set up swags we tried our chances at the pub. We scored a cabin for the four of us, it was wonderful. A fire, perfectly kitted out kitchen and all round comfortable place. For us it was pure luxury.Rooms: 4/5
