Story

The Montague is set to become West End's favourite local hang out for young & old. Monty, as the pub has been aptly nick-named by locals is a tasty gastropub standing tall on the corner of Montague Rd & Kurilpa St, West End.

Monty boasts 17 different beers on tap and wine list with over 19 different vineyards and suppliers. Your beer will be served through Brewery Fresh Copper Tanks which are the main feature over bar.... Preservative free and as fresh as it gets!

The menu features rotisserie chickens, tasty hand-held favourites like burgers, haloumi fries and beer battered pickles. it'll even have a special SUPERFOOD menu for the health conscious eaters which has been specially designed by a nutritionist.

The venue holds 400 people and is set to open late APRIL.

We have been here a few times now and while there aren't a lot of offerings on the menu each night for dinner, what they do, they do well with good service. They also have some great wines at reasonable prices by the glass and you can chose from 150 or 250 ml servings - it's a shame more restaurants don't do this.
Came here for dinner on a Friday night. The atmosphere was very chill and not crowded like i expected. 400g rump Steak was well cooked and came out quick. Very good service by the bar & wait staff.
Went there for lunch with my GF yesterday, told the manager in charge that the 400g rump steak I got medium rare was the best I have had in a while. Melted in my mouth and was cooked to perfection
This pub was full of life on Saturday night. Great atmosphere and food
Lovely instructors, great projects available and the most beautiful studio. Can head downstairs before or after for drinks + food too!
My new local, live music on a Saturday.
It's your typical swanky pub with a live cover muso, pretty standard drink selection and pretty typical menu. They do great pizza. If you are looking for a nice, normal, Aussie pub, this is the place for you.
Can't go wrong. With a great selection of beer and killer barramundi burger.
Relaxing place to chill out after work. Meals are good too.
