We came here for dinner. Although the restaurant hadn't opened yet, they still brought us in and seated us at their window table. This slight gesture brought us relief after a tiring day. Everything else followed perfectly; the food was excellent as per the recommendation from their server. We started with olives and toast, then had slow-cooked pork and seafood basket as mains. We had better for these dishes, but this also does not mean these are no less delicious. With this, we bring our score to 4 out of 5. We would consider coming back to this place, not just for the food but for the overall experience.
If I could give The Mill 100 stars I would. Hands down our best dining experience in Melbourne, both the food and drinks. The owner came to greet us and asked about what flavor of cocktails we enjoyed. He proceeded from there to hand craft a series of cocktails designed to our specific palette and were, without doubt the best drinks we've ever had. I asked for sweet and sour, my daughter sweet and Island-like, then coffee/chocolate--every drink was better than the last and didn't top the food. The steak, pasta, bruschetti so fresh!, all amazing. If we're ever in Melbourne again we're definitely going back. Service was very adequate, the owner did great on his feet. The food was delicious especially the mains. Rib eye steak is a must and the Seafood Linguine with Chilli just devine.
Great atmosphere, fun service. Some selection of tap beers. Small plate dishes are great, big plates dishes are good. Had fun.Food: 4/5
Size is reasonable for the price Beer tastes good Fries are tasty Mushrooms source is creamy Ribe eye steak has its flavour but overcooked to nearly well done this time Boss is nice and brings warmth to customers
Pretty average. My wife’s pizza tasted like cardboard and they forgot her side of vegetables. When they did bring them out they were still frozen and quite obviously from a frozen pack of veggies. Disgusting. They also forgot to bring out water for the table despite asking on several occasions.
Fantastic experience! The owner was lovely and made us cocktails based on our likes in drinks, asked about any food allergies and made recommendations on what to get. We ordered two specials being a chicken breast dish and a seafood linguine which were both amazing. Lovely service. We were looking for a nice date spot while visiting Melbourne and that's exactly what we got .

The best local cuisine I've ever had. A variety of dishes that feel contemporary and fresh and have the restaurant's unique spin on them, not to mention that they are cooked to perfection. Although the menu is fairly small, it is well-formed. This restaurant exuded the friendliest, most welcome vibe. The service provided was excellent. Highly recommend!
Staff is very kind and food was tasty fish and chips, pasta with mushrooms and burger. The service was too slow though and the place was not very clean sticky floors and tables .... Overall we enjoyed our meal and it was great that we could stay for long time they do not have annoying allocating 1.5- 2h seating as many near by restaurants but would be even better if they speed up a bit especially if you are coming in hungry :.
