Beautiful hotel with plenty of history to share. I love the small library downstairs with plush sofas and peace and quiet. A lovely place to relax. The suites upstairs are beautiful with spacious views of the Square.

Friendly, helpful hotel receptionist. I was put in a room in the Petit Hotel part of this establishment. For $220 per night, the room definitely needs some attention. Floor was not quite clean, mat on floor was grubby as was stairs and  carpet leading to room. Chairs dated and uncomfortable, needed a re paint. No air conditioning unit, only a noisy fan in room. Could not open windows due to rattling bottles of hotel next door. Blind in bathroom patched with stuck together iceblock sticks and crudely painted over. Disappointed.

We booked Christmas and Boxing day accomodation including Chritmas dinner and a light evening meal.
The room was good, the breakfast overpriced and basic, Christmas lunch was good quality but only ham, potatoes, lettuce salad and a bean mix salad. This was followed by pavlova. Not a great spread for $55 a head. The promised platter for the evening had been cancelled due to lack of staff and the person in charge suggested we go and get something at the local store. 
Not a great experiece and would not recommend. A country pub/cafe at best.

Great service, wine and beer.  Thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful food and ambience.
