It was our first time visiting and we really enjoyed the overall experience. We chose the Romantic Retreat package and went on a Thursday in late summer, which meant it wasn’t too busy. There were other guests, but they were well spread out throughout the day so it never felt crowded.nnThe included grazing platter and glass of bubbles were good, we also purchased additional drinks and food, all of which we were very happy with. The massage was nice and relaxing.nnOne downside was the main pool near the restaurant, which is quite difficult to access and very cold, probably why no one was using it. The other pools were at a much more pleasant temperature. Between 32-39C. There are also very few lounge chairs available, so once you manage to get one, it’s best to hold onto it. While it’s understandable given the natural environment, there were quite a lot of leaves and flowers in the water. The venue itself also shows some signs of ageing.nnThe staff were lovely overall, especially the team outside preparing the drinks. They were friendly and kind. One small letdown was when we received our grazing platter and I politely asked if it was possible to swap the included drink for another option of the same price on the menu. The manager declined, explaining that the alternative drink was $1 more expensive. While I understand how this could become an issue if everyone asked, for such a small difference it could have made a noticeable improvement to the customer experience.
My Mum and I booked The Lost Spring package which includes pool access, a free cocktail and grazing platter & a massage.nnThe spring was lovely, with an array of pools and a very relaxing setting. Staff are incredible- really friendly and attentive and plenty of people around to take drink orders etc.nnWe both had a full body massage and it was amazing! Both of our masseuses were brilliant, very communicative and excellent at what they did.nnFood and drink was all lovely. All round this is a fabulous day out.nnMy only criticism is that there are no shower facilities aside from two outdoor showers for rinsing. This would have been good to know beforehand, as it would be an issue if you needed to go straight to somewhere else from the spa.
Best place ever! Me and my boyfriend went here for an anniversary, we booked the 2 hour swim with a dinner at the end. The water was so lovely and warm, loved that we could walk around and it was so quiet.nWe did order 2 cocktails, a bit expensive but definitely worth the splurge. Tasted like a sweet dessert. The dinner was delicious! We had a lot of choices and overall loved our day here.
Amazing ! ! !nSuch a great place to relax and unwind.nFrom the moment you alive and drive through the gates you know its going to be good.nPlenty of parking, and well presented trees and lighting.nWalking in the reception area is warm and inviting and then you turn and are struck by a view out to the pool through the restuarant area.nnThe changing rooms were clean amd tidy and a good size.nnThen theres the pools. . . .nThey are awesome. Warm and inviting they are situated amongst beautiful mature trees where bird sing while you soak in the beauty.nA series of pathways lead you from one pool to the other, taking you through caves and over a swing bridge.nThere are snack and drinks allowed in the pool and the staff even take your order and deliver it to you in the pool. I had cocktails.nThe temperature of the pools are warm and at different temperatures.nI went on a day that not too many people were there so was easy to have my own space.nnThe food......nDelicious !nI had food from the breakfast menu and i loved it.nnYou dont need to pay anything until you are leaving as it is on a running tab system. Great idea and works well.nnOverall i highly rate The Lost Springs Whitianga and recommend it to all. and i have over 10 million views on my Google account so I have some experiencennThanks team i will be back for sure
Amazing experience at The Lost Spring Geothermal Pool. The pools were warm, relaxing, and beautifully surrounded by lush greenery - perfect for unwinding. Food was delicious too! Loved the creamy pesto and roasted pumpkin risotto, which was rich, creamy and full of flavour. The nachos with beans, sour cream, and avocado were fresh and generous.nFew Vegeterian options available.nGreat atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service. Highly recommend The Lost Spring for anyone looking for a relaxing day out with excellent dining to match
