We had lunch here for my sisters graduation celebration. All hits, no misses! Woody, our server was so polite, helpful, attentive and just all round amazing, we were more than well looked after. The mussels were to die for, we will definitely be back for when that mussel craving hits! Thank you Woody and everyone at the lookout! We had a big table, and lots of drinks and dishes that came out really fast, fresh and delicious. Couldn't recommend the lookout enough please ignore the half eaten dishes, I forgot to take photos when the food came out, that's how good it was, had to dig in straight away! You won't regret coming here
Lovely ambience at the lookout. The e-menu’s are a cool concept and ensure your service is always ready when you are, without losing the warm personal interaction either the wait staff - nice balance achieved! Espresso martini a cheeky indulgence for lunch on last day of annual leave - divine and hubby’s lemon lime & bitters was also worth a mention. We shared garlic rolls accompanied with additional garlic butter for our own decadent slathering, a fresh nicely flavoured shrimp cocktail and a perfect open steak sandwich with crunchy fries and whole mushrooms. Sincerely enjoyed every sip and delicious mouthful. We share most of our café & restaurant orders including drinks, to maintain family harmony, eliminate food envy and be able to appreciate more flavours. Works well for us. The pricing was more than equitable for the quality and service. Thanks lookout staff. A+ and will be a favoured repeat.
The food is exquisite as always. We love the cheesecake here. Fresh fish and chips gourmet style and succulent pork belly skewers. Full of bold flavors. Highly recommended for a family meal, hangout with mates or a romantic date. You will not be disappointed.
Great service - love the new way of ordering meals. A great Valentine’s Day dinner. Will recommend this place. Only negative I’ll probably do is the Shandy - tiger beer is probably not best for this mix. But otherwise great night and our kids like it too. So thank you
Only really ever been here for drinks and tapas before but tried the Eye Filet tonight and was blown away. Cooked to medium rare perfection and the peppercorn sauce was delicious. Service is always excellent but tonight the kitchen and chefs made the evening unforgettable. Best steak I’ve had in NZ hands down.
The Lookout....a restaurant in Hamilton without waitresses. Instead you receive a tablet when seated to make your orders. One maitre'd or host delivers your preferences. Hes there to answer questions and help. This restaurant was busy with 90 tablets available. GF or food preferences are there for each order and you can keep check on what you are spending on the tablet. The meals were very generous and delicious. Will be going back.
Awesome location, great atmosphere, lovely staff, great food. 10/10 even the music not too bad. Great views too. Will be coming back.
$25 Monday’s 500g Rump Steak was great value for money. Love that you can order your food and beverage on a tablet. Nice space and highly recommended.

I recently celebrated my friend's birthday at this restaurant and I have to say, it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while! The pizzas were absolutely delicious and easily some of the best in the area. The atmosphere was also fantastic - cozy and inviting, with great service from the friendly staff. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food and a great time out with friends. Can't wait to come back!
