Came here a few years ago for the red velvet pancakes and wanted to try it again but saw something that sounded way more interesting and that I thought was pancakes. It turned out not to be pancakes. The iced coffee was great but our food was mediocre. I think this place is probably great for coffee and pancakes, but maybe not for the other things on the menu. Matcha wheat berry; Crab Benedict.
The coffee at this cafe was average in terms of flavor and quality. However, the food at this cafe was of excellent quality. The sandwiches and pastries were all freshly made and tasted delicious. The presentation of the dishes was also visually appealing.
An engaged barista that loves greeting customers, far fetched from the Sydneysiders I was warned of. Good croissants, so much that I had to put it down while writing this review with crumbs on my phone . Coffee size is as expected at least from Melbourne, tastes like a strongman in a cup What I like and not watered down with milk. Barista was kind enough to provide loose change from notes as the parking meter didn't accept my card, nor bank notes. A park sits directly opposite, century old trees for shade. Not sure what everyone else expects, but this meets my needs on a Thursday morning. Parking: Lots of on-street, metred expensive! parking during the day. I'm staring at least a dozen at 8am. Wheelchair accessibility: Directly accessible via wheelchair.
Great service, very old fashioned vibes, and some good coffee. I ordered the Big Breakfast, and the Club Sandwich, they were both so delicious and me and my cousin was unable to finish it due to the size of the meal. My friend ordered The Vegan wholesome bowl, and it was great. I recommend this place very much.
The spot is good for food or coffee very tasty reasonably priced only thing is there is never ever anyone here staff are alway nice!Food: 5/5
I ordered the acai bowl. The presentation and taste was amazing. We also ordered the red velvet pancakes for the birthday boy and they were awesome. All dish presentation is amazing and taste is good too Vegetarian options: Acai bowl vegan
Went for breakfast here a week ago and want an amazing meal. We got a little confused with our order but the chef or owner? fixed us up. Definitely recommendFood: 5/5
Absolute lovely and kind staff & barista. Had a strong flat white w oat milk and it was the best I’ve had in Sydney so far. Not too oak-ish and really nice coffe for reasonable price. Too bad I’ve only been around this area for a training class, otherwise this would be my go-to café. Highly recommend!
A family run, hidden spot on the corner of wentworth park. Service was great. Their hot taro drink is delicious, the red velvet pancakes were beautifully presented and really tasty. They do a decent full english too! The whole brunch menu sounded awesome so we'll be going back to sample some more!
For full review including photos, go to Weekend Food Escapes Overall, I really enjoyed my revisit of the Local Mbassy. I'd definitely be a regular if I lived nearby. The menu has so many options and everything is of high quality. I recommend ordering the Meatball Shakshuka as it would be very satisfying in this cooler weather. It's delish.
