Given how busy this place generally is on both weekdays and weekends, we thought that this place must be worth trying at least once. Ended up going on a Saturday during peak lunchtime period, and despite a 15 minute-ish wait in line, we ended up being allocated a table somewhat quickly. Albeit a bit pricy, what we ordered was still impressive and filling. The Bangers & Mash was a bit meh, but the 'Grain Fed Scotch Fillet Steak' and Chicken Parmigiana with mushroom sauce extras went down great. Staff are friendly and the drinks are also pretty nice too. Can't really ask for any thing else in a cafe environment!
We have recently moved to St. Ives and soon become regulars here for brunch or a quick coffee or cuppa after a shop at the village. Our absolute favourite is coffee, the breakfast spread and pancakes. The staff is friendly and ambience fabulous. It’s an absolute treat! Looking forward to many more memorable moments at the village!
Fabulous food and service, staff are friendly and efficient. I don’t notice many of the staff’s name, however Moraya I hope I spelt it right went over and beyond to ensure great service today. Highly recommend establishment to locals! Great cafe- more like a great restaurant. I’ll be back weekly as always!
Living room is a staple inside the village. Always buzzing, illustrating its popularity with the locals. It has a big menu, and I've been pleased with what I've had so far.
I ordered the calamari which was over battered and fried and tasteless too. The chips tasted and looked refried. I gave 3 stars only for the good coffee. Not surprisingly, i had an upset tummy following the meal. Never again..
Too bad experience. After 15 mins, the girl who helped me to place my order came and told me, ‘we lost your order, please order it again’. I ordered again and thought they would do it as quickly as they could, because they already let me waiting for 15mins. But for 40 mins, I got nothing except a tea. And nobody care about you. A lot of people came after me already got their food and nearly finished. I wasted more than 40mins. The girl looks like everything is ok. We just do things like this. Never care about you.
Very good service. The staff are quick and attentive and when I raised one of my orders had not been done correctly sourdough instead of gluten-free As although I pointed to the gluten-free menu, I didn't remind them that I specifically wanted a gluten-free version of the avocado smash. They quickly rectified the situation in some places a replacement order can take ages and they might as well have just given a refund but this was not the case and the meal was very tasty - at a reasonable price too. Coffee was good, they serve Campos, it's been my regular stop now on the way back from drop off.
Pretty good food but service a little suss and absolutely no regard for requests to remove bacon
Poor customer service, didn’t come and tell us they ran out of wedges, didn’t offer a substitute. Had to wait for them to go to the shops and buy more, everyone else at the table had finished eating.
Surf and turf is worth the money! Very generous serve and cooked very well. The crab meat croissant is a very nice treat on the breakfast menu!
