Such a beautiful space, so sadly unused! It’s decline over the years has been sad to see. The foodcourt is completely empty, the couple of restaurants gone in the middle area gone. Still a nice space to step into away from Chapel Street and admire the roof and some random fun vending machines, although the toilets down the back desperately need some work.nnI can only hope that the development plans for the building brings some life back to it!
This was the first time we have returned since a week before COVID lockdown. It was sad to see on the movie theatre was the only open business. All the restaurants... Gone. We went in Saturday night 6pm. The ghosts of previous tenants are still haunting. I remember the TGIF, they had the best Long Island ice tea in Melbourne. Only the tables remain, with chairs stacked on top.
The jam factory is such a beautiful iconic building with amazing architecture. Came on a Saturday afternoon and instead of the previous bustle that I remembered all the shops were closed. Only village cinemas was open. Still a nice place to cool down in the summer heat
It’s deserted. No shops and the Cinema isn’t manned. There’s a sign for people to use the self serve screens to buy their tickets. Even though it’s deserted it’s actually super clean and safe when walking through. I park in the Wilson carpark behind. It’s cheap and the spaces are nice and spacious and it’s easy to navigate the car through the turns and super easy to navigate your wag out, but the car wash is closed though.
A complete shell of its former glory in the early 2000's...nUnless you just need some Chaple Street parking, or plan on seeing a movie. There is nothing there for you...
