Fun, hip authentic Italian fare with generous servings and reasonable prices. You order at the counter and then take a number. The food is served in a timely manner and it is hot and delicious! A lively crowd coming and going makes it fun to people watch as well. I look forward to going back soon. Perfecto!
I personally love their food and always have. However their service is bad. They say that there’s a line to order before you take a seat, however my friend and I had someone cut in front of us because she already had a seat apparently, and the cashier just told us to wait. ?! There’s a huge line behind us and it is unfair to the rest of us.nnSo after we ordered, one of their servers, showed us to our seats, and we couldn’t find our way, and he practically shoved me in that direction. Got our seats and it was literally next to the entrance of the toilet. That is disgusting.nnWe ordered the garlic bread and gnocchi. We were served with garlic bread first and the staff was in such a rush that he just put the garlic bread on our table and ran with no proper cutlery or plates to eat it with, we literally had to wait for our gnocchi. By the time we got to eat garlic bread it was already cold. Pity, the gnocchi was good but unfortunately the service was just very bad.
Overall a very nice place to eat some delicious Italian food. A few things to note, it is a cash only venue, you have to order your food before you sit down, so looking at a menu beforehand is useful, and narrow pathways inside. Would definitely come again to try more foods.
We went there last Sunday first time there. This place gets packed. Hardly any room to move.nThe lady at the front counter who served us was not very friendly but not rudenIt actually felt like she didn't want to be at work.nNow for the food .. yummy. I had the pettensca with napolita sauce and fettachini .. was very good cooked to aldente but couldn't taste the anchovies. For 24 dollars was ok for the price.nThe wife had the calabrese with tortalini .. was nicely cooked wife felt it was spot on she loved it but for the price it could of been a bigger serving.nLooking around at there garlic bread .. 2 small slice for $10. Not worth it sorry.nA up good for a quick lunch feed.
In the past I would have recommended this place but NOT anymore. It’s not the same. We had a terrible time over the weekend resulting in us never going back.nImagine putting your son at the front to take orders with the rudest attitude and worst customer service then having another staff member say “oh it’s the owners son though” after complaining. I stood in line with 4 others, the line going out the door, trying to order food. Xander was slouched against the counter in his phone taking no notice to the customers. One gentlemen’s in front of me had to interrupt his game on his phone for him to notice. Xander than proceeded to say “what, I have nothing to do” making us customers feel of an inconvenience.nI then asked another staff member for the manager to flag it so other customers don’t have the same experience. They said no we don’t have any one in charge on shift. What ????nThe service inside is below the bare minimum. The lady threw our cutlery on the table, giving 2 forks when there was 4 people. The water cups are so dirty we couldn’t even drink from them.nThe staff members were standing around on their phones not taking any notice to service need from customers in the dining room.nThe restaurant game is strong in Sydney and they can’t even get the basic service right.nDo not recommend. Go elsewhere.
