I had a great time at the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park! The animal exhibits were well-maintained and the animals looked healthy and well-cared for, so many babies. There was a good variety of species, including some that I was really interested in seeing. I also appreciated the educational value of the visit. The friendly staff were knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions I had. There were also some extra features like a petting zoo, highly recommend the Meerkat experience and interactive exhibits that were really fun. The Wildlife Park was clean and well-maintained, which really added to the overall experience. I also thought the cost of admission was reasonable given the quality of the visit. Shout out to the wonderful cafe staff and the ladies maintaining the BBQ area Overall, I would highly recommend this Wildlife Park to others. It was a fun and educational experience that I'm sure anyone would enjoy.
The best interactive zoo experience! My daughter had a great time feeding many animals. The place isn't that big and not so many animals but the interaction with animals make it a unique and memorable experience for kiddos. There are also animal encounters which is separately paid from the general admission tickets if you are willing to pay more and for a more personal encounter with animals.
Interactive and friendly zoo It was a pleasant surprise to see so many animals which could be easily spotted. The experience was amazing for kids and families in the mid of Hunter valley. The zoo is small but covers a lot of animals for kids to enjoy without getting tired. Also kids can touch and pet pet the friendly animals.
A really nice experience for little ones, kids and all ages. You are able to interact with some of the animals and even feed them. Feeding the cockatoos is a very new experience for the young ones. One at a time they will fly to you seeking for food. Some of the older ones may get a little competitive with the younger ones.. A must try, definitely with adult supervision. Feeding the kangaroos is a heartwarming experience, especially for those with little joeys in their pouches. You will have to ‘win’ their hearts and to gain their trust for them to hop towards you. We spent almost an hour playing with them and feeding the young ones. The whole area is wide and lots of space to roam especially those with large prams. It’s perfectly catered to that. Definitely a must try if you are in the area. It’s one of our go to when we’re in the hunter. Never gets bored for the little ones. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Awesome to come during the week during school time. Need about a half day to get through the attractions and the stamped passports for the kids kept them motivated through the park to get stamps for a select amount of animals. Loved the walk through aviary to get up close with the birds and the kangaroo and camel feeding is always a hit. The lion feeding demonstration was very informative and entertaining. Wanted to stay for lunch but the august winds were a bit too chilly for a sit down meal amongst the elements. An indoor eatery would go down a treat.
Nice good sized basic zoo for families not crazy big like Taronga with hills to walk up!. Flat, easy to navigate. Bought animal feed but the kangaroos weren't interested- the goats and sheep were! And camels! Beware of the camels- they snatch the whole thing! Fast! Came on a hot day and a lot of the animals were hiding or sleeping to keep cool!
Very family friendly zoo. It is not very huge like Taronga zoo, so we could look around in 2 hours. It is a good place for children and even parents.
A good place to take kids as they love animals. I went there today with my sister and her family and it was a good time. My nephew was so excited to see all the animals live.
Was a lot of fun looking at all of the various animals at the Zoo. You are also able to pay approx $6 for animal food in which you can feed them to either the goats/sheep, kangaroos, camels or birds! Was plenty of fun and a great way to spend the afternoon!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
