WOW and excellent flavours with such care and authenticity with every dish. This is now and forever my favourite go to Indian restaurant! I kid you not, you will not be disappointed with this place. Vegan dishes are also offered with the same care that is put into each and every dish - you can taste it and is well worth any wait. This is a MUST spot to come dine in and enjoy. Thank you staff I will see you at least once a week.
Their combo meals were a little bit on the expensive side being priced at over $19 per person. The butter chicken also came out a little bit too sweet for some of us. There was a decent number of diners present when we dined in on a rainy Thursday evening. What did not sit well with me was their menu pricing was different from what you were charged at the machine. This was true for the seafood combo I ordered. I went with fish which is about a dollar cheaper compared to the shrimp. When I went to pay, I noticed that I have been charged the more expensive item for their seafood combo. I brought it up with the server and she initially mentioned that it was due to tax being applied. I argued again and explained clearly that it cannot be due to the tax and that I was clearly charged the higher rate. After some more arguing and back and forth which was accentuated more due to the problem with communication from their end, she then just mentioned that the seafood combo was just priced that way with the machine. I still did not accept this reasoning but decided to pay for the higher-priced false advertising seeing that the conversation was just going nowhere.
Amazing flavours prepared with such care and sincerity in each dish. This will always be my favourite Indian restaurant to eat at! You won't be dissatisfied with this place, I guarantee it. The same attention to detail that is placed into every meal is also given to vegan options; you can taste it and the wait will be well worth it. You MUST eat here and enjoy yourself. Thank you, employees. At a minimum, I'll meet you once per week.
It's quite simple to stroll right past this tranquil little Indian eatery if you're not looking because it's housed in the restaurant's basement, The Diplomat, at 43 King William St. Once inside, you're greeted by a warm but straightforward decor that includes a few small Buddha reliefs and some lovely prints of Indian subcontinental mountain ranges. The decor is straightforward and practical. The bar offers a small assortment of fairly priced alcoholic drinks, including a few domestic beer alternatives, wines, and liquors. When you need suggestions on what to order, the waitresses are helpful and attentive and pay close attention to you.
I recently visited an Indian restaurant in my area and had an amazing experience. The food was excellent - full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was also outstanding - the waiters were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Indian dining experience.
I drive all the way from Oakville to visit this place whenever I’m craving Indian & Nepalese food. They have a wonderful menu with lots of vegetarian and vegan options, as well a ton of wonderful meat dishes. My last visit my partner and I got the samosa, lentil soup, Malai Tikka, and Royal Thali. Everything tasted wonderful and was very fresh. I love the Naan as well. Highly recommend!
We went there for a late lunch, ordered chai, samosa chat, naan, madras fish curry and Tama boodi. Everything tasted freshly made and delicious with balanced flavors . Food was served quickly and we loved the quiet ambience.Food: 5/5
Food was delicious. Interior was lil dark. Could be lil brighter. But service was ok. Amount of the food was enough. Tried non veg thali and seek kabob combo..both were delicious. Golab jamun was hot and yummy. Masala tea wasnt that great but ok
Last Friday, my buddies and I were looking for a restaurant serving Indian food. We had no idea what to anticipate. We didn't want to eat at a pricey chain restaurant because we had never been to Hamilton before. We desired extraordinary things. It wasn't especially striking from the outside. The evening specials were displayed on the sandwich board, but it didn't do what was below it justice. We performed an internet search and discovered "Sagarmatha" as the restaurant. We entered and were immediately in a little space. It had obvious decorations. It looked quite Himalayan and Indian. It was orderly and tidy. Even though it's obvious that this is a fairly modest enterprise, the tables were kept in good condition. We received a warm welcome and sat down at a table.
Absolutely loved the taste and food. They are much better than any restaurants in GTA. The thali is a steal. Recommended: Lamb khorma, vindaloo, Matar paneer and LassiFood: 5/5
