First time back after a long time — the last time we visited was years ago when they had the Cinderella display. It was also our first time coming for breakfast, as we usually come for afternoon tea.nThe place is always amazing and very Instagrammable. The food was good overall, but the juice was absolutely amazing — definitely a highlight.nWe came as a group of five and ordered the big breakfast, trout, pancakes, shakshuka, and the omelette. Portions were generous and nicely presented.nService was great, and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Overall, a lovely experience.
It’s always a pleasure to visit The Grounds of Alexandria. Every time I bring guests here, there are new surprises, and the venue is always beautifully festive and thoughtfully styled. It truly feels like a café that’s also a tourist destination.nnThis time, we had a private dining room experience, which was excellent! Comfortable, well organised, and perfect for hosting guests. Despite being extremely busy and almost fully booked, the speed of service for both coffee and food was impressive.nnThe team handled the volume effortlessly, and everything ran smoothly. A consistently enjoyable place with great atmosphere, efficient service, and a memorable experience for visitors.
The best cafe with great coffee & meals in a great vintage building with plenty of histories. Try to book a table here, if not they always have a table outside the main cafe area which is still very nice. Plenty to see, to visit & to learn about this historical huge building. Lots of nice photo opportunities inside & outside of the building. Amazing restoration & allowing a high quality cafe to be here, fantastic! Thank you!
Such a beautiful place to enjoy a great coffee and the theme installations are always amazing. Today it was Emma Memmas garden display and of course it was a huge hit with my 3 year old granddaughter. You can only enter there after youve purchased from the cafe and show your receipt. The theme cake was delicious. $28 might sound a lot but it easily fed 4 of us. It can be hectic in certain areas but there’s plenty of seating in other quieter areas, it’s very big inside. Plenty of parking in the parking station. Play areas for the kids and lovely leafy areas to sit and relax. There’s a lemonade cart that sells the best lemonade I’ve ever tasted!
Came in for lunch on the day after valentines, super busy so we were so lucky to have a booking. The drinks and dessert menu is super cute, and I had the best iced chai of my life! Food is quite reasonably priced and so filling. Drinks came out almost immediately and food was ready in about 15 minutes, which is fantastic for a busy day. Staff were accommodating and sweet. Bonus is the set up outside is always so stunning and breathtaking, and the shop is adorable too.
