Went to Groove 2 times while staying in Geelong. Close to our Hotel The service was quite slow at times while there. I asked for a smoothie when I ordered and didn't receive it till I got my meal as they had forgotten and had to remind them The food was slow enough to be served but was tasty. They have a large menu full of different items to pick from. Not the best meal experiences I've had but not too bad either.
It may have been an off day, but unfortunately the meals took quiet a long time to go out. The “southern style fried” chicken burger was basically a chicken schnitzel pan fried in oil. The lamb slouvaki however was super nice and juicy and tender, I would have given more stars but unfortunately the service lost one star. Maybe next time!
Very polite staffs and delicious foods.very clean and tidy.highly recommend
Staff is super unfriendly and does not want to move. Burger had a nice taste. Crazy place but would absolutely not come back here!
Came in today 10/12/2020 no cutlery or serviettes were given or offered with our meals & got no further service from staff. We all have off days now & then & 1 "off" day can be forgiven, although we were disappointed. No stars for staff on today's visit! However, we have been coming in regularly lately & the staff have always been very friendly & polite. Our previous experiences are very deserving of the 5 star rating. The food is great, big portions & great prices. The restaurant is clean & has a great atmosphere. Despite today's little mishap... We will not be deterred, we will be back! It's a great place to eat in Geelong. Highly recommended.
Food and service was great. It was a nice atmosphere and the place was clean. Definitely go again .It's great for family however does not have a play area . They have high chairs and my 2yr old grandson loved eating off our plates. The chips were over salted but overall my only complaint.
Don't waste your money the food is inedible. I ordered the fish and chips today for lunch and asked what kind of fish before ordering. I was told it was Flathead. It arrived and the portions were big but I was wearing because of the shape of the fillets. I tried the chips first and they were soggy from sitting in a pool of balsamic vinegar and unsalted. The fish was covered in a yellow heavily seasoned battered that might have been nice if it was cooked through and not doughy. The fish itself did not taste like Flathead, it was the wrong colour and texture and tasted like it was off. When I sent it back to the kitchen they just said that it was Flathead! Nothing about it being off and inedible! After waiting 20min for the waiter and chef who clearly were not getting back to me, I went to leave and was still charge full price. $29 for something that I couldn't eat! The attitude and treatment was disgraceful not to mention the food being terrible. I wont be going back.
Breakfast is weekends only. I didn't think the quality of food was reflected in the price. If their prices were just a little bit cheaper then maybe customers would feel abit more satisfied when paying the bill upon leaving. Good waiter service and a spacious venue with a rustic look.
Very nice looking restaurant, unfortunately the food wasn’t as nice. Their pizza is really yum but the steak was over cooked and not seared properly, resembled a streamed steak and it was cut in half for some reason. The roasted potatoes and mushrooms sauce was really nice. The side chips were over cooked.
What an excellent lunch. Haven't been here for years. I ordered the salt and pepper calamari and the serve was enormous. Very tender and scrumptious. Heaps of chips and a refreshing salad. The coffee was to die for or I was really in need of it. Either way it went down well.
