Great place, and local. Food is good value, as is the wine. Service always excellent. It's a regular place I eat at once every few weeks. My Chihuahua also loves a few crumbs........
Terrific authentic Indian food. The butter chicken is amazing. Beef vindaloo was great but too spicy for us.
AVOID! Found twisted, sharp metal from a washing up scourer in our meals. Paid $140 for our families meals. This is the second time this has happened. Manager told us they would replace the meal we threw out. When we called a few weeks later to do so, the manager didn’t give a stuff and wouldn’t honour it or take our call. Terrible attitude. Avoid this place. I’ll actually be reporting this to health authorities now because it’s clear they don’t care about the accident that happened and they’re a hazard to the community. Lucky it didn’t lodge in our throats. AVOID! One star because I can’t give ZERO. Disgusting people.
I would give it a 10/10 because of the amazing taste and presentation. I’ve really never tried Indian up to this stage, but that’s just amazing food and staff is great it’s just a different taste to what most Aussies are used to but it’s amazing best meal I’ve had all year and beyond unbelievable. Delicious food and great service. The banquet menu was excellent value for a large group and the staff were very helpful in catering to all our different allergies and dietary requirements.
We have been having the occasional take out meal from The Grand Pavillion in Ettalong for a few years now and always enjoyed it except for our last take out. The food was no where near the standard it used to be and wasn't tasty at all, the portion sizes have reduced considerably too. We won't be having anymore food from this restaurant it would be tastier if I used a jar of sauce from the supermarket!
Excellent Indian food on the peninsula. Spices are rich and tasty, with a great balance between heat and taste. Naan is also excellent. Would definitely recommend!
We accidentally borrowed 2 chairs from this restaurant to sit next door and the really friendly staff came and let us know, with no rush to return them. Very pleasant experience interacting with them :
Onion Bhajji was burnt and the replacement was not any better. Goan fish curry only looked better ,but was flavorless. Even the Naan did not look or taste fresh rather a reheat of a frozen ready to eat brand...? The only good thing was the salad with the onion bhajji which was fresh. More like The Grand Disappointment. If it was not for the ambience would have rated 1 star.
Very welcoming place with friendly staff with quick service. The waiters were very quick with the orders and the food was absolutely fantastic! Ordered several dishes and they were all the best indian food we've had. Very much recommended.
