Having finally decided to take the plunge on the latest radically designed (and with a price to match) hair dryer I was devastated when it stopped working after a couple of months. Took it back to Good Guys - no problem. They replaced it with a new one on the spot. No waiting for it to be sent back for repairs. Great to get such impeccable and friendly customer service from my local Good Guys.

The service here is woeful. Start by calling them on the phone and if they answer I could have gone for a shave while someone bothered to do so. Then they transfer you to the desired department and after some time ringing it 'eventually' gets back to the counter and you get asked 'how can I help' again. Then they ask for your details and say someone will call you back. Waiting, waiting, waiting and guess what, no one did. But I must admit I never expected they would so I honestly can't say I'm dissapointed. Obviously they have a manager and staff who simply don't care.

I used to buy everything I could from this store for over 15 years. However in the last 6 months the standard has dropped so low that I won't be going back. The phones hardly get answered and when they do you get put on hold for ages only to get disconnected. Most of the reception staff are poorly trained. Sometimes one can wait up to half an hour to get served and that's when it's quiet. When I do get through and ask for someone to call back hardly ever does someone call back. The pricing too is no where as good as it used to be. I was a good customer of theirs. A real shame. Just no one to talk to complain everyone passes the buck. It all started going down hill after j.b hi fi took over the store.

We made a number of big purchase today following a move from interstate. The staff we dealt with - Daniel, Tamsin and Kyle - were simply fantastic. Their service was 1st class; they knew their products, they were definitive with their advice and they were pleasant and obliging. Daniel particularly who coordinated our sale was fantastic to deal with. The Good Guys at Brighton are good guys and gals!!!!
