My son went for the singles date night tonight. Was expecting the love island crew to be there at 9pm like the tickets said but don't rock up until after 10pm. What is the go with that? He just come home. Was expecting a good night out.
We have been regulars here for many years. We are out of towners and have been giving other venues a go for a few months.nWe returned today and were disgusted at what we were served as a counter meal. Schnitzel was our choice. Everything on the plate was disgusting. No panko crumb, seemed to be some sort of batter. Chips were soggy. ‘Salad’ was limp and no dressing. I ate literally 2 mouthfuls of the meal and no more. We will not be back.
Booked for 6pm dinner. Rocked up to no one even acknowledging our presence. Table in what you'd never call a dining room. Pub has so much potential but never in my 35 years of hospitality management have I seen such a place. Left and went elsewhere.
Do not eat here Saturday evening. We had reserved for 6pm. No one cared. My wife’s grilled fish was ok however my pizza was not cooked properly and tasted like wet dough. We were enjoying watching the football on the large screen when they turned it off so the band could do a sound check. We spent the next 45 minutes listening to ‘check….check…one …two…check…’ over the PA. Surely they could have done this at a time when there weren’t paying customers eat dinner on their night out… but the staff had attitude problems all round. Stay away.
Great place to soak up a pint or three. Good tab facilities with friendly staff and a sociable atmosphere, that may be a little rowdy at times. Nothing wrong with the tucker either. See you there!
