The Foragers Drop

About

20 taps of National and International Independent Craft beer... Only the best, always. Support Local, Support Independent

Story

Now that we have opened the doors and are settling in, there is much, much more coming to 'The Drop'

Events.
The next Event is a big one, all day on the 26th November, see listed event for details

Style appreciation sessions.
We will set aside a few tables and to blind tastings of a different style every week, Likely to be on the incoming Sunday sessions. We will post the Style on the week before as an event and will list the beers but you wont know which one until after the tasting. We'll take notes and at the end compare and pick a winner.

Games n Funs
We will be expanding our range of card and board games with games for the whole family from the Tin Lids to some others that are more suited to the Adults.

Fridge Stock.
Ever expanding and the list is growing, we will make up some 'menus' and have them about the place to browse so that in the extreemly unlikely event the taps have nothing to please you, the fridge will. Note: we also stock a few gluten free ale options in the bottle range so anyone who requires a gluten free option.. we have you covered.

Keep in mind that we are also pet friendly so if pooch wants to come along and enjoy a nice bowl of water then feel free to bring them, I'll get some signage up to that effect.

More.. so much more to come.

Amazing beer, expert knowledge and amazing service. 20 independent taps, tasting paddles, huge range of whiskey, spirits and cocktails. A very cool little establishment. Very lucky to have The Foragers Drop as our local pub in Mitcham. Cheers!
One of Mitcham's finest little gems, hidden in plain sight along the Mitcham shops on Whitehorse road is an unassuming staircase that leads up to a beer lovers paradise! With a rotating billboard of over 15+ on tap beers you will always find something fresh and frothy to drink, or you can always ask for your favourite mixers as well, the spirits collection is just as extensive as the beer. Plenty of indoor seating for groups large and small, private booths, outdoor area for those who wish to enjoy a smoke with their drink, pool table and board games to help pass the time when the chat runs a little stale. In regards to food they have a very generous byo policy so just either bring your own or order some delivered to the shop. There's no other spot like this, simply unreal and great locals to mingle with and make new friends.
Incredible, always rotating taps, interesting paraphernalia throughout the bar and staff that are always happy to give you a hand in making the right choice. They don’t offer food themselves, but they’re more than amicable to you having local food delivered while you play cards at a barrel! This bar is all about the hops!
Not joking. Best bar probably in Melbourne. I only say probably because I haven’t been to them all. Handy location for Mitcham station trains & buses. Bring your own food is a bonus. Hidden gem. 20 beers / ciders on tap. The sort of beers you have wondered about but never realised they existed or would never get the chance to try otherwise. If you live in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and haven’t been here yet; “don’t think, do!” Such a good spot, wish I could visit more often. Experience it for yourself and then nod your head quietly in agreement. “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” Jesse had the dream and he is delivering. The only thing better would be free beer and if that were the case, there would be no beer. Cheers n’ beers! Big Fella
A great hangout for beer nuts. 19 beers and 1 cider on tap and no hint of a CUB product. And a good range it is too! Some craft beer joints make the mistake of choosing beers based on their obscurity rather than whether they taste good, but I think here everyone will find a tap or several to their taste. Variety of seating from deep comfy chairs to long benches with stools - not the most comfortable but adds to the beer hall aesthetic. A little on the pricey side, so be prepared for that.
A place that is hard to pick from the street but once you know about it you'll want to be a regular. Right next door to a small bottle shop on the main street there are stairs leading up to the first floor where you'll find a cool bar catering for most tastes. Plenty of taps serving craft beer sorry no big commercial beers here, wine and whiskey. There's a pool table pool comp on Tuesdays plenty of board games and even a PlayStation running an emulator of old school games up on the big projector screen... There's even a fortune teller. As well as plenty of seating there's an outdoor rooftop area for the smokers. Enjoyed the visit and happy to come back.
Whether you’re into craft beer 20 taps! or your just after a good time, This is the place to come. We’ve been coming for the past few years and it gets better and better. Highly recommend!!
The Forager's drop is a hidden gem in Mitcham. If you are looking for an establishment offering beers that are out of the ordinary then The Foragers Drop is the place for you. The staff are knowledgeable about the products on tap and professional in their delivery while being friendly and engaging. Ablutionary facilities are aging but maintained very well. Meals are not available but you are encouraged to order local take away to eat here while enjoying a beverage. If you are a fan of VB or Great Northern this is not the place for you.
Great place to enjoy craft beers and arguable the best craft beer venue in Melbourne's east. Bring your lunch and enjoy a pint or two!
Great watering hole in the Mitcham area. Excellent selection of beers, both on tap and by the bottle, to choose from. Staff are knowledge and will definitely point you in the right direction. Also a solid gin selection on offer. Otherwise, pub vibe complete with pool table and beer garden. Definitely get down there and try some new beers.
