Beautiful old building. Good value meals. Thursday was $20 steak night! Tasty & generous. Very nice atmosphere. Garden bar out the back. Live music sometimes but not the night we were there.
Great venue with a good atmosphere and great beer garden, which is somewhat hidden away within Fitzroy. I booked a section of the beer garden for about 50 people for my birthday. Really easy to organise and the staff were very friendly very accommodating to the short notice. Would highly recommend.
For a gig wasn’t great, too light inside, space was awkward and the stage small. You pay for a ticket but you could just watch from the bar cus there’s no separation
Got my fix of kangaroo tacos again last night, sooo tasty! I couldn't eat all 3, my friend stole the last one Staff are all legends, always love coming to visit the Pinny!
The best local you could dream of having, or the place you can pop into that makes you feel like home. The food and drinks have been so thoughtfully curated, are absolutely delicious and cater for everyone. The staff are wonderful. It’s full of good vibes and fun times. When we leave the Pinny we always take away the best memories, and the cup is filled! Can’t recommend highly enough
Amazing Pub!! Great team of staff, always a friendly face on arrival especially the owner John. Has one of the best run trivia nights in Melbourne, and Bands on the weekend. Had the $20 steak on many occasions, an awesome mid week option when finishing work late. Best local pub in the Inner North.
We had our engagement party here on the weekend. The staff are incredible! Special mention to John and Rachel for managing the whole thing and making it so easy for us. The food and drinks were great and the setting is beautiful. Well played on their end, they’ve won patrons for life.
No stars if I could. Never been so let down by service, absolutely disgusted by the hostility of one bartender . The idea of social pleasantries is non existent in this bar, it’s unbelievable that I was punished for ordering a beer as if it was an inconvenience, at 6pm on a Friday at a quiet bar.From being side eyed, brutally and bluntly served, to being yelled at and having my bag rudely moved by staff because it was in the way of their old storage cupboard the FAR corner of the smokers mind you. Grow up, be nice or find a different industry because hospo isn’t for you. First time here and I won’t be back, cheers to the rest of the staff, sorry your nice service is not enough to out weigh one members behavior. I truly feel sorry that you have to work with this person.
I love this place. the staff are like a little family and they make you feel like you're at home every time. trivia was ok but that Devin was too loud. I will be coming back.
Food was good. Staff were terrific. My main criticism was they put me out in the back dining room to have my hamburger and beer. The room was tiny, dingy, massive TV going playing football match...yuk...I'd have been much happier in the main bar dining area but that wasn't offered to me. They had a band setting up in the main area. I'm not sure why I had to go out the back to eat...because the band was setting up? I was finished before they had even got their equipment set up. Odd.
