Wonderful lunch stop after the ride from Hobart - nice roads, stunning scenery and now fresh fish and chips. The fish really is fresh and comes hot off the grill - or any way you want it! Staff are friendly, service is quick, an d there are plenty of places to sit in the sun, take in the scenery and enjoy your food. Heaps of parking, although it can get VERY busy at peak periods in the summer.
There’s no vegan food, only chips. A couple of sorbet ice cream flavours available lemon and raspberry No vegan milk for hot drinks. Chips 5/5 Burger 3/5 Fish and chips 5/5 The Lott burger has pineapple inside and bread is not warm but all the rest is ok $12 Chips are gigantic $5 Fish in the fish and chips tasted fresh $12 Right across the ferry to go to and come back from Maria Island. Very busy but still decent wait times.
Very busy and tasty. A bit too greasy and the batter was very thick. Fresh fish with a broad range. Nice marina to look around. Ferry to Maria Island National park leaves nearby.
It’s not the best fish and chips I’ve had but it’s great value! It’s worth to try! I ordered blue grenadier and chips. I like soft fish so it was really nice and batter was crispy. I also had a potato cake and a crab stick. The potato cake was good for dessert but the crab stick doesn’t have any taste. Just crab stick not real crab. I saw the flathead and chips only $13!! It’s very cheap. In East coast, flathead and chips usually cost more than $18.
Food was served hot, but not tasty. Service was quite friendly. Price was ok - good sized servings esp for the chips. Personally, I would not return as I have tasted better fish and chips.
Located near the ferry terminal to Maria island, grilled fish was OK, seafood basket wrapped in a bouquet was good! Reasonably price and super value for money. Not surprisingly, it's frequented by many locals.
An absolute must visit...Really fresh fish n chips. Fresh caught off the boat. Great variety to choose from, served in lovely brown paper cones. Very generous serves & really reasonably priced.
Very busy, but if you can get a park in the area it's well worth the visit, my crumbed flathead was very fresh and oh so tasty, I had eaten a piece before I took the photo : value for money. Picnic tables available for eating your lunch and toilets available over the road, a very pleasant experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful when deciding. Not only fish and chips available a selection of takeaways including chicken burgers etc.
We visited on Sat 10th December. Lovely fresh flake and chips. Serves were good size, although we got two serves and one piece was a fair bit bigger than the other. Was fairly busy but wait was not too long.
The service was very friendly and the food came out quickly, however the food was quite subpar. Got the fisherman's basket, the fish was incredibly dry, it tasted as if it had been cooked, left out and then cooked again. The chips were very very soggy and undercooked. The venue is cute however and nice to sit outside.Food: 1/5
