Story

If you are looking for a good feed of kiwi fish n chips in Taupo look no further. We buy all our fish fresh everyday. Our chips are the best you can buy and contain the least fat content when cooked. We cook in tallow because it tastes better and all the studies show natural fats are better for us. Our other ingredients such as flour and panko are also the best you can buy. All in all we like what we do and trust you will to. We also have fresh salads, burritos and grilled fish for those that like a change in menu. Our menu is constantly evolving so keep checking in to see what we are doing. We have recently added online ordering which is brilliant if you don't like waiting in a line.

Decent fish and chips. The trevally was especially good value. We had the garlic chips, which was good, but essentially it's just the chips with a lump of garlic butter on the top - not sure why it was almost double the price. Minus a star overall because the service wasn't great. I told the guy that we'd eat it on the tables outside and he couldn't even be bothered to tell us when our order was ready, nor provided any cutlery, so I had to keep going back in.

We ordered one of the family packs. It was delicious! The fish and chips were very fresh and perfectly cooked. Best fish and chips we have had in a long time. Great value for money.

Delicious fish & chips, v popular.  If you're ordering at a peak time, then plan a wait.  We ordered on a Friday nite at 6pm, went for a walk by the lake and collected our delicious dinner at 7pm.  Well worth the wait and a great excuse for the walk!

Fresh,  moist crumbed snapper with great chips .. well cooked and drained. Possibly the best F&C in NZ! Wish they were my local, will definitely be back when we're next in Taupo

Loved the fish n scallops with battered Mars bar and cinnamon donuts  . Lovely quick service and delicious food. Great experience after a day trip in Taupo to take away and sit by the lake.

Wow, possibly the best fish and chips I've ever had! Kumara chips,  fish, calamari, deep fried brie - yum! Lucky I don't live in Taupo or my wallet and my scales would be taking a pounding!Food: 5/5

Travelled there especially as rated the best fish and chips in Taupo. Very disappointed . Real fish and chips shouldn’t have crinkle cut chips.  Asked for salt and vinegar on chips - couldn’t taste either . Fish tasted like it was pre battered.  A slice of lemon would have been nice .

Deffs the best fish n chip shop we found during our stay in taupo! Fresh & crunchy but not over cooked too! Perfect combination!!!! Price wasnt to bad we spent roughly $35nzd for 2Adults & 1Child I wish  we had this in auckland!!!!  Parking: Located directly infront of shops. So much parks available!!

We dropped in today to buy fish and chips for lunch. Amazing!!! Beautiful snapper in crispy batter, perfect chips. Must do each time we visit Taupo from Taumarunui.
